Morges' scanners had now grown accustomed to unannounced Jump-sigs.
This time that was quite a stack again.
Clan Ice Hellion had decided that they wanted this world back. At all cost.
"Enemy forces, stand down or be destroyed. Morges will be free!" No name was given but it was not the deep but female voice of Khan Raina Montose.
SLDF Init
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 5, 6, total 11[/blockquote]
Some Arc-Royal forces are still in system from last turn, but for the moment they're standing back.
OP: Damn, I guess they will escape my just rule... *grumble*
Init: [blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 4, 2, total 6[/blockquote]
CSA Init roll
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 5, 1, total 6[/blockquote]
"Clan Ice Hellion, you were defeated and sent home once. We are prepared to do so again. I am Leftenant Ward of the Morges Planetary Militia and we already defeated you. Our force will meet you in a trial of your way, to honor the warrior who stood against us just a couple of months ago. When we defeat you, you will leave a force in this system, under our command, to defend it from any other clan who may try to conquer us. In this way, you can learn what it truly means to serve the people you are meant to protect. Further, for a period of 2 years, you will not attack this world or use it to stage any attacks elsewhere. Do you have the courage to face us in your own way?"
OOC - 1 FP of militia is prepared to fight.
A commanding voice answered. "You quislings do not know where your place is. I will remind you of it, for I have conquered this planet before and against much more honorable opponents and also more in number. You may surrender at any time."
With that, saKhan Connor Rood prepared his Command Supernova, from which only a Nova would take the field.
(I assume around 1.5 FP for that)
MM or SimRes?
We wont have a schedule I think.. if your forces are Mechs or some tanks, then I would try. Against masses of Infantry, it wont make much fun.
But I would give it a shot in MM.
Looking for a proxy either way. Your call though.
OK, I guess we will have to roll this. :)
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 6, 6, total 12[/blockquote]
::)
What a waste. :P
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 4, 6, total 10[/blockquote]
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 5, 6, total 11[/blockquote]
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 3, 1, total 4[/blockquote]
2 Crits
Double damage. Militia wiped out.
Seems Morges is a good place for Hellions. It is settled now. Morges will become a centerpiece for the Clan.
+1 for future rolls. (could have crushed the ARs easily as well. :P)
NVA: Your roll needed, and then I need a decision if Leftenant Ward survives or not.
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 1, 3, total 4[/blockquote]
0,25 FP damage to the CIH.
(round up)
1,25 FP salvageable.
I assume Zell was followed strictly.
Morges is CIH again.
IC: The Grendel fired its large Laser for a last time, then the Field was silent. The Ice Hellions had two dead Elementals and some wounded, all others were fine. Connor Rood smiled satisfacted. His tactical skill had been the key for this small battle. Like when he destroyed the mass of Brigades back then, he did so in a smaller scale. His tactical and strategic skill was now undoubted. It had taken a few movements to shatter the whole enemy formation, without even firing shots, so that the outcome was secure. His ancestors could be proud of him.
50 % salvage, rounding up to .75 FP.
