As the jump ended the intense euphoria faded. Terrence Magus gave a silent prayer to the found. Near the end of the long journey from the home worlds, it seemed like he might have started to develop PTSD. The recent times spent on ground has made the jumps bearable again and his senses were once again quite soon after the jump. There was still the Hi-G burn to go for the decent to planet, but as long as the skies were clear, both Epsilon and Delta would reach their targets on time.
"Bondsman Latasha, how are my skies?" the ebon skinned Dropship commander had the distinct features of an Aerospace phenotype. In the video image being transmitted to the cargo bay, she reminded Terry of a young version of Barbara Sennet. Perhaps both shared some of the Nagasawa bloodline. The scowl on her face seemed stamped on her face as she flippantly responded. "It is a mighty big damn sky ovkhan, we will have a report to you as soon as we are able." Terrence smiled smuggly as replied, "We wait on you." He turned off the screen. He liked to put unreasonable demands on the Ex-Diamond Shark pilot.
Since acquiring her at Sudeten, she had worked viciously to reattain her warrior rank. If there was a naval presence here, she would get a chance to prove her skill and thus cut one more of her bond cords, if not, she would have to wait. Either way, the scan that would determine her immediate fate was underway and Terrence was certain that her interest in getting it right would get it to him soon. He'd made his entire Galaxy around warriors that were hungry to prove themselves, but he doubted there would be anything interesting for her today. A pity.
SLDF/Wolf forces appear to have abandoned the system; a volunteer force of Wolf paramilitary police stayed behind to maintain order, and will field 1 FP on each planet to defend if the Clans issue a Trial of Posession. (If the Clans invade without a trial, they won't mount a suicidal defense, instead they will do their best to minimize panic and civilian casualties).
Fate, its entirely a roleplaying decision on your part if you want to roll out trials. Either way, please wrap up this thread as soon as possible.
