Shortly after the unexpected arrival of several CSA jumpships the following message was transmitted on all open channels.
"Civillians of Saravan, the forces under my command have been tasked with the liberation of those who have declared for Charlemagne Steiner in these troubled times. FWL defenders with what forces do you defend your claim for this system?"
-Star Colonel David,235th Adder Sentinels, E/R

"Liberation" thats rich, our tax's are lower and these Marik boys throw a right kind party. 1FP of Militia ready to stand up for the free people of Saravan."

"It's amazing how quickly quislings turn up to take the positions of dead men. Saravan never would have declared for the Steiner Protectorate if the majority did not wish it. since you seem to desire it, we will oblige your death wish. Star Commander Jacob of the 899th Gatekeeper (1 FP R/R) will have the first honors. "

[ooc: umm, I think the damage inflicted is a bit high
10 Deal 60% of FP to OpponentCD
and 60% of 1FP is .6, which rounds down (nearest .25) to .5]
anyways, Adder rolls as they may affect damage caused
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 2, 5, total 7[/blockquote]
7 Deal 40% of FP to Opponent
[ooc: knowing Dis, he wouldve hit with 3FP
edit- but he surprised me, and I didnt look close enough...bad GG, no eCookie for me]
so 3*.4 = 1.2FP, rounds up to 1.25FP
correct damage: 1FP * .4 = .4, round to nearest .25 = .5
OOC: Note *points above* Dis's bid is 1FP. Adders have again violated their bid RP consequences to follow.
[ooc: I skimmed the thread and didnt notice that post
but if you want to be that nitpicky without giving a person a chance to correct a mistake, then no problem]
OOC: Just assumed it was intentional. If it is not. Im fine with you fixing it.

[ooc: was unintentional...was in a rush for whatever reason and didnt read the thread thoroughly
fixing now]
Damage Totals after Rounding:
FWL to CSA - 0.5FP
CSA to FWL - 0.5FP
Remaining:
FWL - 0.5FP
CSA - 0.5FP
another round?
If you want I am fine with it.

I can roll SimpRes rather well...it's all the calculations and when theyre applied that I need to work on when/if Crits are involved
so Im up for another
Round 2:

FWL
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 1, 3, total 4[/blockquote]
FWL gets a crit chance due to Adder Roll
Crit Chance

3 Deal 15% of FP to OpponentEC
0.5 * 0.15 = 0.075 (IF it's worth rounding up, then .25)
Im thinking this one may be over
No Crit
Adders do .5 *.15=.075 damage rounds to .25 damage
FWL does .5 *. 20 = .1 damage rounds to .25 Damage
Adder force .25
FWL force .25
Note FWL has done more damage then the Adders in both trials. Though its rounding the same I'm pretty sure I win.

works for me
Salvage Pool Stands at 1.5 FP (.75 from FWL, .75 from Adders)
This was fought as a Trial of Posession with strict Zellbrigen so 50% of Salvage goes to FWL.
1.5 *.5 = .75 FP

Doesn't for me though.
There's 6 rounds of combat in a cycle, and the next would be round three.
Round 3: Adder roll
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 3, 6, total 9[/blockquote]
Its a trial. ;-) Doesn't really apply but ok.
FWL Roll
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 1, 3, total 4[/blockquote]
Last call on this battle; please wrap this up if possible tonight, if not I'll be resolving it tomorrow.
General note regarding "long" trials, please remember that one operational round is roughly 10 days. While some of this is spent getting to the planet, etc, for a trial to last more than one round of combat indicates that its a long drawn-out fight. This isn't unheard of (the MechWarrior novel about the Ghost Bears fighting the Wolves -- Roar of Honor I believe -- is a good example of such a trial), but its worth bearing this in mind from a roleplaying POV.
CSA crit check
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 1, 2, total 3[/blockquote]
CSA inflicts 0.25 FP
FWL inflicts no damage
CSA wins the trial.
