Today the front office of the Wolfs Dragoons confirmed that the Wolfs Dragoons have been signed under a new contract that affects all but one of their to-hire formations (Delta Commands conventional tank regiment is rumored to stay on Outreach).
Wolf's Dragoons Front office was not giving direct interviews but confirmed that the new contractor of Wolf's Dragoons had made informations about the Company or Nation hiering the Dragoons a contract detail.

The Wolf's Dragoons dropships have been seen leaving the planet under what, as it seems, are emergency launch and as this message is composed are burning towards thier Jumpships.

Overall, merc hierings are up by 40% as multiple minor commands have been signed to various private cooporations.

The other only noteworthy, multiregimental formations that has recently been hired are the Dismal Disinherited who have also already left the Planet.
Sadly we were unable to gain any interesting comments from the DDI front office as their new contract announcement was made simultanously with the Dragoons announcement.

Today news reach us from all over the St Ives Concordat that various mercenary Units have arrived and instantly siezed position around points of military and civil interest all througout the nation.

Reports list at least one Unit of the famous Wolf's Dragoons to have landed on every, I repeat every planet in the SIC with the Dismal Disinherited backing up the Dragoons on planets of greater importance.
Here on St. Ives itself pictures from the landed Units show the Infamous Wolf Spiders, the personal Unit of Natasha Kerensky and the Zeta Batallion, very much the hardest hitting force of all mercenary commands.

It seems that St. Ives is gearing for a war but against whom one might ask?

The Federated Suns have been ever so greatful to this young and tiny nation.
Rumors have it that Candace Allard-Liao might seek to strike against her sister and might try to reclaim her throne of the Confederacy...

Still, there have not been taken any measures to ensure civillian savety yet.

There has, however, a Press conference been scheduled for today at eight PM. We hope to get some answers on the Situation in St.Ives at latest by that time.
Candace Allard-Liao will personally attend this Press Conference and will have a big announcement to share.
Her Press bureau put it, inofficially, this way: " Be there or miss the greatest news of the Decade... "

The cameras started to track the fair skinned leader of the St. Ives Compact the second she entered the room. Moving with grace and determination in her eyes, Candace Allard-Liao moved swiftly though the room, a murmur of voices began asking questions frantically, not at her approach but at the steady procession that followed her into the room. The first behind her were her children Kai and Cassandra being escorted by a motley of nobles known to be close to her family and officers from the 1st St. Ives Armoured Cavalry as expected, but after that were several officers that were decidedly out of place for St. Ives. The insignia's the Dismal Disinherited and Wolf's Dragoons had become well known in the past decades based on their deeds. The deep blue uniforms of the Dragoon's 7th Kommandos stood out as they took up positions near the dais.

Candace stood before the camera and silence descended among the crowded room. "From the time we are old enough to comprehend, we learn that there is nothing in the universe that is greater than love. I am proud to say that the very heart of our beloved compact was founded on it and I have always taken great pride in how our people supported my decision to withdraw the St. Ives Compact from the Capellan Confederation.

As a mother, I have been blessed with the unquestioning love of my children. As a ruler, just like a mother, I have a duty to repay such unwavering devotion by acting unselfishly and making the hard decisions needed to ensure our future." Candace turned and waved her hand at the the officers behind her. "There has been much speculation as to why these gentlemen have joined me here today.

Last year marked the first decade in the existence of the St. Ives Compact. My children, heirs of House Liao, have been estranged from the rest of their people by my actions. We have existed by the generosity of our neighbors and deep in my heart I have known that I have acted selfishly. When I think of all the things that have happened during that time I had to remember that the misfortunes that have befallen the rest of the Capellan Confederation are partially my fault and more importantly, that there IS something I can do about it.

Citizens, we have enjoyed independence, but the future of our people lies the clasped palms of a unified Capellan people. To that end, I have dug deep into my own personal fortune to repay your unwavering devotion. I know that I will face derision in the face of such an action and as it was stated in the Lorix Order, I ask you for your continued support and also to support the men and women that signed up to fight in our name. Our goal, a united Capellan Confederation, by any means necessary."

The shocking news elicited a slew of questions from the reporters in the crowd, but a deep voice raised his above all others to be heard over the reporters "Duchess!" A new procession that had entered the room during the speech seemed to appear from out of no where. Cappellan troops in dress gray's with the golden emblem of Warrior House Imarra glinting as the camera lights turned towards them. At the head of the procession, Ion Rush, Master of House. "If you truly mean what you say, then for the good of the entire Capellan Confederation, I shall escort you so that terms can be discussed."

From the Dias, Candace took her children by the hand and walked them down the aisle towards Ion Rush, continuing to move with dignity and determination.  "Then as you say, for the good of the entire Capellan Confederation, lead on." The two processions became one and moved swiftly from the room not stopping to answer questions.

As people continued to leave the room Yann turned to the camera, "I'm not sure exactly what we have just witnessed. The Duchess Candace Allard-Liao just moments go willing left these chambers with the head of one of the Capellan Warrior Houses, and not just any Warrior House, House Imarra known for it's loyal to the Chancellor. A high ranking member of the Capellan Military, a speech filled with the indication of a united Capellan Confederation, and another as of yet unknown meeting between the leader of the St. Ives Compact and the Capellan Confederation as the only certainty. We promise big news and there you have it. The implications of the Duchesses speech will obviously have drastic implications that crosses borders. However, what we have been witness has also not answered the questions of exactly HOW the Duchess plans on achieving her goal, how the House Imarra and the Wolf's Dragoons seem to fit in all of this, and above all else; Where is the Duchess's husband, and what does it mean that he was not here for such a momentous announcement?

I avail myself with relief of the opportunity of speaking to the people of the Periphery. I do not know how long such liberties will be allowed. The stations of uncensored expression are closing down; the lights are going out; but there is still time for those to whom freedom and parliamentary government mean something, to consult together. Let me, then, speak in truth and earnestness while time remains.

It is no good using hard words among friends about the past, and reproaching one another for what cannot be recalled. It is the future, not the past, that demands our earnest and anxious thought. We must recognize that the Parliamentary democracies and liberal, peaceful forces have everywhere sustained an unfounded invasion which leaves them weaker, morally and physically, to cope with dangers which have vastly grown. But the cause of freedom has in it a recuperative power and virtue which can draw from misfortune new hope and new strength. If ever there was a time when men and women who cherish the ideals of peace and freedom should take earnest counsel with one another, that time is now. hypocrisy

All the world wishes for peace and security. Word has reached INN that negoations between the Draconis combine and the Lyran Commonwealth came to a sudden halt today.
Sources say that the Draconis Combine was willing to retreat from the so called Lyons Thumb liberating the Sye worlds of Alphecca, Dromini VI, Alrakis and Kesel in exchange for a number of worlds near Terra.
Rumor has it that the worlds listed were around Northwind.

So far no member of the Estates General or the Nobility of Skype was reachable for a comment on this.

We will continiue to cover this story as soon as there are new informations avaiable.

**BREAKING NEWS**

This is Melissa O'hara for INN News, reporting live from Inverness on Skye.

The idyllic peace of Skye was shattered today as armed rebels and assorted dissidents took to the streets of Skye's major cities to wrest control of their world from the hands of Archon Melissa Steiner-Davion's government. The Free Skye movement has claimed that the time is ripe for the Isle to break away from the inept rule of the current Archon, and that the Isle's sons, brothers, fathers and industry will not be pawns in House Davion's imperialistic ambitions. Ryan Steiner himself once more condemned the Federated Commonwealth alliance, stated that he believed it to be no more than the noble Lyran people being subjected to House Davion's will.

It is unclear exactly what is occurring on Skye as reports are coming in on a minute-by-minute basis and some are quite contradictory. Some state that the Skye Rangers have allied themselves with the rebels, that they have stormed the Ducal Palace in New Glasgow, that they were decimated in their barracks before the rebellion broke, and that they've already crushed the militant rebels, while other reports indicate they are quietly staying in their barracks awaiting the outcome of what seems to largely be civil strife. There are however, confirmed reports of armed militants skirmishing with municipal police in several locations, Inverness being one of them.

In fact, only moments ago, a massive explosion rocked Inverness. Municipal police arriving on the scene describe a massive crater, over a city block in diameter. They say that such an explosion, coupled with a running firefight in the area over several hours, leads them to believe that a rebel group got into the police armory. When surrounded by municipal policemen, the rebels apparently decided death was a better option than surrender, and detonated the large stockpile of munitions, resulting in a massive chain reaction that leveled several blocks, blowing out glass for almost a kilometer. Preliminiary reports estimate as many as 20 militants lost their lives in the blast, aswell as over 3 dozen policemen, and dozens of civilians have been taken to area hospitals for various injuries.

This event marks the first large-scale loss of life in the current conflict. And sadly, at such an early stage of the rebellion, it is unlikely to be the last.

President Avellar announces name change to Outworlds Alliance

President Maurice Avellar announced a change to the name of the Outworlds Alliance today.
In his speech he informed assembled media and representatives from neighbouring nations that the 'Outworlds Alliance' would change its name to "Autonomic Republic of Alpheratz and Ramora" short ARAR.
What caused this name change remains to be speculation as he was not answering any questions with a promise that further changes to the ARAR would be comming soon.

In fact there are reports of a heightened activity on ARAR spaceports. Rumor has it that unmarked Dropships land, filled with food and goods who then are freely distributed among the ARAR population...

A: Dear viewers, the Lexington Combat Group, together with the Dragoons hiring command and the Lyran Commonwealth have just announced that the LCG will come to New Earth, is that correct?
T: Yes Andrea, this is correct. The LCG has just signed a fourty year contract with the Lyran Commonwealth and our future home will be here on New Earth.
A: That IS exiting. But what does that mean for the People of New Earth?
T: A lot of things. And all of them are good, I might add.
   First of all: The LCG is responsible for the defence of the planet itself. This will be done by the LCG home command wich will be recruited exclusively from New Earth citicens. Secondly: The Lyran government has given full ownership to the LCG. Just like it was done for the Wolfs Dragoons.

T: Exactly. And see where the planet is today! It is a great world with even greater opportunities. People there are happy, people there are safe! And this is what we intend to offer the people of New Earth as well.

We have just recieved news that the promised address by Archon Melissa Steiner-Davion is about to begin, and we are here to bring you live coverage of the event.

**camera switches from reporter to a raised dias with multiple microphones just as the Archon approaches. After gesturing the standing reporters to sit, the Archon begins to speak**

"Greetings fellow Lyran citizens, and members of the interstellar media. I have called for this press conference to speak about an important matter, both to our nation, and to the Inner Sphere as a whole. Those who follow such events closely will remember that recently, several bands of vicious pirates, claiming to be from the Circinus Federation, raided and invaded Lyran worlds along our periphery border, near the Federation. These attacks were unprovoked, but were small-scale in nature.

It seems however, that the Free Worlds League has taken it upon themselves to be the policemen of the periphery, and launched their own large scale invasion of the Federation. My sources in the region inform me that these were not probing attacks, but large formations of frontline troops, attempting to crush any and all resistance before them. Indeed they likely outnumber ever regiment the whole Federation could bring to bear just with the forces brought against the Federation capital of Circinus.

This aggression by the Free Worlds League cannot be allowed to stand. The nations of the periphery are not play things of the Great Houses, they are soverign realms, realms by and large devoted to peace. Whatever grievances the Captain-General has with the people of the Circinus Federation, there was surely a better method to achieve his goals than with military force.

I hope that the other House Lords, aswell as the various leaders of the periphery realms, will agree with me in saying that such blatant aggressionis unwarranted. And furthermore, the Lyran Commonwealth will not stand idly by while innocent peoples have their lives disregarded for the greed of a nation." The Archon then took a half step back and opened the floor for questions.

INN-Atreus: "Archon, isn't it true that your own Bolan Theatre military command was preparing for a large scale military movement towards the Circinus Federation?"

"It is true that the Bolan Theater commander was readying his troops to respond to a threat, yes. The goal of the military movements you speak of were to return Shahr Kord to Lyran hands, where it belongs, aswell as to safeguard the region against any further aggression from the pirate groups that attacked us."

"But Archon, there are reports that the attackers on Shahr Kord and Sona Hoa were House McIntyre regulars, why do-" The Archon cut him off.

"There are also likely reports that the attackers were the Regulan Hussars, or the Atrean Dragoons, or perhaps ComStar's secret military forces," that drew a chuckle from the assembled crowd, that the telephone company had some sort of secret army lying about. "Not every rumor is true, as you well know. We have reliable reports that place the attackers as rouge pirates, though indeed some of them might have Circinus military training or equipment. Sadly it is a very lawless region, and the Federation is not immune to piracy any more than we are."

A reporter from the Capellan Confederation stood and was acknowledged.

"Archon, what about increased troop movements in the Isle of Skye? We have not heard much of the attempted rebellion there."

"The Isle is always an interesting place, for those that have been there. The people of the Isle are very independant, and it is no secret that many long for the days before the Isle was joined with the other founding micro-states to form the Commonwealth. However, through the noble sacrifice of the 3rd Lyran Guards, the rebellion was defeated. Sadly, after reaching an agreement for a peaceful resolution, through the commander of the 4th Skye Rangers, the rebels attacked a convoy of non-combatants and dependants, slaughtering them, aswell as the brave Guards. As most are aware, following that atrocity, the 4th Skye Rangers obliterated the rebellion as a legitimate military force. Lohnegrin teams were also successful in rooting out large numbers of rebel sympathisers, leading us to believe the Free Skye movement is severely damaged, if not broken.

Such an event causes security concerns, which is all I can say about troop movements in the area." An aide came and whispered to the Archon who nodded then stepped back from the dais as another man stepped up.

The camera view springs to life, centered on none other than Magestrix Emma Centrella herself, clad in a turquoise-and-black gown. She is standing before a simple podium of ebony wood emblazoned with the symbol of the Magistracy of Canopus, and similar symbols are etched into the teal banners hanging behind the statuesque woman. She is flanked by a pair of guards, armed and armored and very, very still.

"Good evening, citizens of the Magistracy, and to the greater interstellar neighborhood. I am Emma Centrella, Magestrix of Canopus, and I would like to share a few words of importance with all of you tonight.

I know that many among you beheld the actions of my mother and predecessor in the affair with the Duchy of Andurien and the Capellan Confederation with great consternation, but I am and have always been committed to the causes of peace and justice for the Periphery. Gone are the days when we would so foolishly involve ourselves in the affairs of the Successor States, and we have no wish to repeat the mistakes of the past. We simply wish to be left to our own devices, to pursue our own dreams and aspirations. In the recent past, I even went so far as to offer restitution to the Free Worlds League for the role that the Magistracy played in the secession of Andurien, and it is my hope that the Captain-General feels, as I do, that the matter is closed.

But do not mistake this desire for peace to mean that we will not fight with everything we have, and more, to protect that peace. To that end, I have recently called together leaders from the various Periphery realms, from the Taurian Concordat to the Marian Hegemony, and even the distant Outworlds Alliance, and together we have dedicated ourselves to the peaceful exchange of ideas, trade, and other items of mutual benefit. The Periphery Pact, as we have christened this endeavor, is to be a symbol of our newly-minted dedication to inter-realm cooperation. We have even begun forming an irregular force of volunteers, the Periphery Marshals, to assist in law enforcement and mutual defense between our realms. It is my fondest wish that the Marshals will also help to bridge the gulfs between the realms of the Periphery, and help us all to find and maintain common ground.

This dedication to our own defense, however, does NOT include what has just taken place on the Marik worlds of Glevkha, Vakarel, Eleusis, Payvand, Teliman's Mistake, or Bayindir. My sources indicate that these Free Worlds are currently suffering an invasion by forces claiming to be part of the Magistracy Armed Forces. I am here to tell the Captain-General, here and now, that these forces do NOT originate from Canopus, and do not represent my realm in any conceivable way, shape or form. The Magistracy Intelligence Ministry stands ready to provide evidence to SAFE to prove the veracity of my words, and I implore the Captain-General to allow cooler heads to prevail. Let us work together to discover the identity of these attackers, before it is too late.

But on that note, I will also add an additional plea to Captain-General Marik: cease your invasion of the Circinus Federation. Your actions there have gone far beyond merely punishing them for their part in the recent troubles engulfing your realm, and have been laid bare as the naked land-grab of which I become more certain every day was your intent all along. Indeed, the forces brought to bear on Circinus alone were nothing less than overwhelming in numbers, and coupled with your recent, albeit somewhat inscrutable and cryptic, address to the Periphery, it seems that you feel you have an ax to grind against us.

Let us have peace, Captain-General Marik, before you subject your citizens and ours to yet another destructive and ultimately pointless war.

We come to you with breaking news from Alpheratz, it was announced that the ARAR joins the Draconis Combine as new member state. Former Outworld Alliance troops are to be integrated in the DCMS and the DCA. I am standing here on the plaza before the parlament of Alpheratz and what you cannot see is the draconian jump- and dropships that are right now landing on the spaceport, officials of the Combine are arriving together with troops of the DCMS. On New Samarkand the engagement ceremonies of Omiku Kurita and Mitchell Avellar carry on while the restructiorisation progress has already started with the signing of contract. Civilians and officials are relatively calm about the matter since the Combine has invested huge amounts in the rebuilding of the ARAR without making demands or adding of military pressure. Rumors even say that the state-contract was a idea of Neil Avellar himself, which he brought before the Coordinator Takashi Kurita. Right now there are no specific informations what the contract fully contains or what happens to the noble Avellar line.

Comstar today announced that a severe HPG malfunction caused the local HPG on Odessa in the Odessa system to explode.
Comstar has claimed that a severe and rare technical malfunction resulted in a meltdown of the compressor coils.
Odessa is currently cut off from the HPG network and reachable only via courier ship.
Comstar further said that they will send a technical team towards the system within the next twenty four hours.
Additionally, Comstar will provide a courier system in and out of the Odessa system via hired jumpships.

Comstar apologizes for the inconvenience to the people of the Lyran Commonwealth and the entire Inner Sphere and will issue a one free HPG message to every citizen of the Lyrran Commonwealth as a compensation for possible inconveniances.

This is Keith Laumer reporting from Galatea. Strange tidings are coming from the Commonwealth these days. First the news of the unexpected HPG accident on Odessa, and now there seems to be more trouble brewing in the Isle, on Skye herself. Strange jump signatures were reported first over Galatea and Thorin, and now Skye seems to be under some kind of lockdown. Scheduled jumpship routes through Skye have been re-routed, while no vessel has come from Skye for several days now.

It is unknown exactly what has befallen the world, but it could have some connection to the aborted rebellion only a few short months ago. The 4th Skye Rangers massacred the rebel fighters, and together with elements of the LIC, rooted out the vast majority of the Free Skye Movement. However, such vermin are rarely ever totally exterminated. Could this be the beginning of a new, larger rebellion?

Only time will tell what is happening on Skye. The prayers of the Commonwealth are with you Skye citizens. This is Keith Laumer for INN Galatea."

Primus Myndo Waterly herself issued a twenty-five percent rise in HPG transmission costs for the Confedreation of Capella.
Her statement was as followed:
"...and due to the ongoing offensive military engagement by the Confederation of Capella, Comstar feels forced to increase HPG fees by twenty five percent as a first measure to ensure that this war does not last forever."
This is an interesting measure, trying to hit the rather weak economy of the Capellan state but if it is enough, we do not know.
The peoples of the Inner Sphere demand an end to this agression and while we are waiting for a truce, millions die or lose their homes...

Statement by Primus Myndo Waterly
"Ladies and Gentlemen. The Lyran commonwealth has made some serious and troubling steps towards endangering the security of communication in the Lyran Commonwealth and in the Inner Sphere.
Refusing access to vital resources so the Infrastructure of the HPG Network can be maintained is dangerous for us all.
Outside Comstar, no one fully understands how this network is functioning and I want to be very clear on this, we are not willing to risk the network of the Inner Sphere because of the mood swings of regional decision makers.
If this non cooperation continues, Comstar will have to cut parts of the Lyran Commonwealth off the HPG network until all sites affected are controlled manually and communication can be restored without endangering the grid.
I hope that the Leadership of the Lyran Commonwealth, the Estates General and the Archon understand the gravity of the situation.
Hindering our ships from delivering crucial goods to their destination is unacceptable.

Hinata Isu has announced that the Draconian Carritative Program will start its work throughout the Capellan Confederation as the Chanellor has signed the respective agreement. We asked lady Isu if this was the reaction of the house Liao due to the latest tax increasement of ComStar on which she responded:

" The house Liao was, like all ruling houses, addressed way before ComStar raised its taxes. It is just a coincidence that we managed to finish the negotiations now. The DCP is a complex organisation and many things must be put into concern. "

The DCP will begin shipping emergency provisions, blankets and tents to the CC borderworlds. Mobile medical centers and refugee camps are in planning, as they must be situated in safe-zones around the battlefields.

" We are in contact with the CCAF and are very happy about their cooperation. We also hope to get into contact with the AFFS and the LCAF when we begin landing. "

As the negotiations are going on, we are wondering how many nations have already signed the agreement and it seems that the ARAR, DC, CC, FWL, the Realm of Lexington/New Earth and the Taurian Concordat are already in.

"We are proud to announce that we manage to talk so many nations into it in such a short time, I didn't expect this, but it also shows us that the great houses want to do set a sign for their people. We are also very grateful to the houses Marik and Liao, they did not only sign the agreement but also became donors to it, giving us the possibility to hire more ships and take more widespread possibilities into calculation. "

Does this mean the Inner sphere is looking at a great new age of humanitarian help or will the program fail? While we speak plans are made for DCP-hospitals, spaceports and research centers throughout the Inner sphere. We can't even imagine how much money is put into this, but what does this mean, for our future?

This is Keith Laumer reporting from Skye. In a troubling turn of events, it seems that Free Skye separatists, masquerading as Skye Port Authority officials and military officers, took control of the Skye Recharge station and denied access to the station to a pair of ComStar jumpships attempting to ferry supplies to the Odessa system. Word of the Odessa HPG malfunction was reported earlier, and the hold-up of supplies, and subsequent response by the Primus, led the Archon to launch an inquiry into the happenings on Skye. After a face-to-face consultation with the Primus on Tharkad earlier this week, Lyran Special Forces boarded and retook the Skye Recharge station.

Fighting was apparently light, with most of the militants surrendering. Apparently their goal was to disrupt HPG service within the Commonwealth, and to also foster animosity between the Blessed Order of ComStar, and the Lyran government. However, with the re-capture of the recharge station, the issue seems to be cleared up. Several of the separatists have been taken into custody and will be tried on Skye on terrorism and treason charges.

Thankfully, no civilians were harmed in the terrorist action, and it seems no lasting damage was done to the recharge station. With the station re-taken and the terrorists killed or captured, normal jumpship and HPG service has been restored to the Skye system. For INN, this is Keith Laumer reporting live from Skye, in the Lyran Commonwealth.

INN Furillo

Greetings, this is Dennis O'Leary for INN-Furillo. A monumentous weapons demonstration took place today on Furillo at the Defiance Industries factory. Defiance has apparently met with success in replicating the SL-era Nighthawk PA/L suits. A full platoon of Royal Guards infantrymen were drilling in the suits earlier today, when LCAF spokeswoman Hauptmann-Kommandant Christa Nadine allowed limited media coverage of some of the suits in action. After allowing INN to tape some of the drills and obstacle course the soldiers did, the Hauptmann-Kommandant said that Defiance had been hard at work attempting to reverse engineer the armor for years, but recent breakthroughs in the process had greatly sped up their progress.

"It was as if someone woke up and had seen a suit dissasembled in their dream or something. Things suddenly started fitting together and technical challenges were overcome that previously had few workable solutions. While there was success with the original Nighthawk suits, much of the suit is still extremely complex and thus difficult to manufacture."

Defiance has said they plan to produce a less complicated but still impressive suit in the near future for the Lyran military, aswell as looking at ways to improve on the PA/L designs. If so, expect to see our brave Lyran soldiers fielding the new armor systems in the near future.

while the Draconis Combine understands that every faction has the interrest to keep its territory save, as it is the matter with the house Davion, we also understand that a nation wants to retake its home worlds, as it is the matter with Liao. We accepted the fact the Capellan Confederation would get an answer for their undertaking and declared it a conflict between the Federated Suns and them. While it is normal to aid your ally in time of need, it is not acceptable that the Lyran Commonwealth moves this hard against the house Liao.

So I unfortunally must declare, that if further involvement of Lyran troops in this crisis continue, the Combine will have to take further steps and this will include military movement. I am awaiting an answer from the house Steiner and no answer will be marked as disagreement to this demand.

However, since the noble houses will meet on Terra, I offer a third option: We all lay down our readied weapons and stop battling for as long as the negotiations go on. In which case, I am awaiting a short writing from every nation involved in the conflict, copied to every other leading house.

"Citizens of the Lyran Commonwealth, and beyond. We have heard today from the son of Coordinator Takashi Kurita, that the Draconis Combine does not feel it is fair that the Commonwealth comes to the aid of it's ally, the Federated Suns. The Suns did not start this war. They did not provoke this war. The sole provocateur was the Capellan Confederation, and it's Chancellor's desire to see her name covered in glory.

The irony of the situation should not be lost on us. The Capellans started the war, knowing full well the Commonwealth would come to the aid of our Davion brothers and sisters. I have no doubt that the crippling cost of employing such formidable mercenaries such as the Wolf's Dragoons, Dismal Disinherited, and Hansen's Roughriders put quite the strain on the Confederation. Where would the Confederation acquire the funding to pay such high-grade mercenaries, yet still operate it's own military? The Combine of course. What better way for the Combine to weaken the Federated Suns border than to pay the Confederation to keep the Suns busy.

And surely the Confederation is in no worse straights than the Circinus Federation when the Free Worlds League swallowed them whole without preamble. But no, it is the Lyrans that are in the wrong. We are warmongers for adhering to a treaty with another sovereign nation that was attacked without any cause than 'because we want our lost things back'.

Gunji-no-Kanrei Theodore Kurita wants the Commonwealth to back out of it's treaty with the Federated Suns, to allow the Capellan Confederation to achieve it's goals. They do not care for peace, hence why they are threatening military action. The Kuritans wish to make the citizens of the Commonwealth afraid of their military might. But it is they who should fear US."

Melissa took a few steps back from the podium she had been speaking on, and indicated a large projection screeen behind her. It swam to life, showing the infinite black of space, spotted with the hard crystaline light of thousands of stars.

"This, my fellow Lyran Citizens, is why we shall not fear the Combine, or any other who threatens our nation."

The screen showed a dark shape blotting out the light of the stars behind it. The image became full screen on the broadcast, as INN got a direct video feed. A massive steel-grey shape was shown, seemingly coming from an aerospace fighter. As the camera angle pulled back, the massive snout of a gun barrel came into view, and then more. Banks upon banks of weapons were visible on the hull of the ship. the light of the star shone across the vessel, and as the viewpoint pulled back more, several drop collars were visible aswell. There was an audible gasp from members of the crowd as a single, blood-red word, prefixed by 3 seemingly insignificant letters were painted across the prow. The Archon spoke as they came fully into view.

"My fellow citizens: I give you, the LCS Invincible, returned to Lyran hands after missing for over 200 years. And we will not shirk from unleashing it's fury on any who dare set foot on Lyran soil. If the Combine wishes to end the Capellans' pet war, they should see about promoting peace instead of more war."

A nice looking guy in a suit comes into the viewers eyes, next to him lady Isu from the DCP is sitting.

We all know how much progress was already made in our to nations but as it was said so many times before 'we want to share'. He then turned slightly to lady Isu which said:

INN Axton

Today at 1 PM a Wolf Dragoons officer started a gunfight in a Comstar station.
The officer, we do not know the identity so far, is said to have been walking into the station, recieving a HPG message ment for the attacker and suddenly drew a gun, a laser pistol, shooting the acolyte through the head.
The assailant then went forth executing several other staff members of the station and engaging in a gunfight with the compounds security team. The person then was bailed out by a Wolfs Dragoons APC that came onto the compound, guns blazing, saving the officer.

The death toll are twelve members of the Comstar order, two civillians who got caught in the gunfire event and several dozen lightly wounded.

Investigation as to why this happened is ongoing.
What we know so far is that the Wolf's Dragoons Unit stationed on Axton is the (in)famous Wolf Spiders formation of Natasha Kerensky

With reports of armed, unrest breaking out on the world of Ramora in apparent reaction to the former OWA joining the Draconis Combine the Federated Sun's Consulate has issued a travel advisory to all Sun's citizens in the former Periphery state. The Sun's ambassador also released the following statement.

Regulars, the Alliance Grenadiers, moved quickly upon the rebel forces.  Wishing to avoid as much collateral damage as they could, they closed quickly.  Risking their lives and taking heavier losses than they would have if they would have "gone by the book," our Alliance Grenadiers destroyed the entire rebel force.  Losses were high on both sides.  As of last hour, 95% of the rebel forces have been accounted for."

We have just received word from planetary command of further news from Outreach.  As is known, Comstar has launched a massive invasion of Outreach for reasons unknown.  What is known is that there has been severe damage to the orbiting infrastructure and that massive flotillas of military dropships were heading towards the planet.

In addition to this, it has been confirmed that Comstar forces on planet engaged a defending force comprised of Wolf Dragoon training cadres and a number of mercenary commands residing on planet.  It is further confirmed that the Comstar forces systematically targeted buildings and other ground based infrastructure, clearly disregarding the Ares Convention.

Part of the complex targeted by Comstar was a residential estate where Archon Melissa Steiner-Davion was staying during her visit to Outreach.  No word yet on the Archon's fate, but it is known that her residence was specifically targeted and that young Arthur Steiner-Davion, a boy of just four years of age, was inside at the time.  It is therefore expected that he and the other inhabitants are dead.

So there you have it.  Comstar has decided to wage war on a four year old.

After weeks of debate after the assassination of First Prince Hanse Davion and the apparent capture of Duke Morgan Hasek-Davion at Comstar hands the Suns Privy Council announced in a surprise early morning press release that the Duke of Numenor, William Townshed-Davion III had been chosen to assume the post of Regent and would be sworn in later that same day.

Duke William, born in 2981 on Numenor attended the Albion Academy going on to serve for most of his career with the 3rd Crucis Lancers. Shortly after the 4th SW he was transferred to the Crucis March Militia. eventually reaching the rank of Major-General before retiring to assume the family title after the death of his father in 3031.

INN New Avalon - Emergency Report


Reports have begun circulating throughout New Avalon and the Crucis March, that Preventor New Avalon(and defacto head of the HPG network within the Federated Suns half of the Federated Commonwealth) Veronique Beauvais was killed in an explosion only moments after leaving a meeting with Duke William Townshend-Davion, recently confirmed as Regent of the Federated Commonwealth in the absence of Archon-Prince Victor Steiner-Davion's mother, Melissa Steiner-Davion.

An explosion from within the offical ComStar car that carried the Precentor to the meeting, eyewitnesses report a man was present within the car upon it's explosion, leading many to speculate that it could be a suicide bombing, although no group has come forward to claim the action as it's own.

In the first use of Interdiction since the 4th Succession War, ComStar has cut off all HPG communication to and from the planet Northwind, after the planetary Clan Elders refused to meet with the Precentor Martial of ComStar. It is unknown what exactly was said between the two groups, but several messages were transmitted back and forth, resulting in the ComGuards withdrawl, and the subsequent interdiction.

ComStar officals have not said how long the interdiction will last.

ISCP Vice Director Badhi Hafeez announced today that ComStar holds charges against lady Hinata Isu for committing crimes. Lady Hinata Isu is currently in ComStar custody.

" ComStars Puplic Relations Office has declined further information on the matter, however our lawyers will be ready when it comes to a trial. We will also check for a violation of the ISCP-contract ComStar has signed, since investigations are running, I will not answer further questions on this matter. ComStar may announce that they must not discuss such matters with outside agencies, this however does not count for the ISCP as our contract states. ISCP workers have free travel rights through the signer nations, factions and agencies, specially when they are on duty, which was the case with Hinata Isu. If ComStar declines cooperation we will set further steps. "

"Wouldn't further steps normally include a trail against the ISCP-violation and wouldn't it be ComStar that holds the trial?"

"In case a nation would break the ISCP-contract it would be in fact ComStar that holds the trial, if however ComStar is violating the contract, we will set up a arbitrary tribunal of neutral judges. "

" Since you plan in this direction means that you assume ComStar is violating the contract?"

" We assume nothing, it is a fact that ComStar claims to have a valid point for holding Hinata Isu in custody. ComStar representatives across the Draconis Combine have expressed their outrage at the Coordinator's new policy to interfere with the smooth operation of communications within his realm. With ComStar's hub facilities now essentially on house arrest, and all outgoing traffic no longer being routed through them, much of their heavy traffic burden has been passed on to nearby Class B stations, which are ill-equipped for taking the massive extra strain. Precentor Dieron, head of ComStar's Draconis Combine operations, released this statement earlier today.

"Citizens of the Inner Sphere. It is with great sorrow that I must address you this day. ComStar has, for centuries, been a neutral arbiter of peace, and provider of communications. That reputation was shattered some months ago, by the actions of the Primus, and members of her inner council on Terra. Actions that many of us in the Order are as shocked by as you are. As horrified by, as you are all. I have ever been a man of peace, a believer that the pen is always mightier than the sword. That the Primus does not share my dedication to peace saddens me.

However, the actions of a few, however highly placed, cannot condemn those below who are unaware of them. I do not support the Primus' methods, even if I believe strongly in her goals. This action by the Coordinator is a blunt response to a problem. I sympathize with his intentions, to restrict the flow of resources to the ComGuard war machine currently marching around Terra, but interrupting the flow of messages through the major hubs of the Combine hurts only the Combine and its people.

This act, while targeted at the Primus, has affected all of ComStar. I have already spoke with the majority of my fellow Precentors in the Combine and we have agreed on a course of action. Untill such time as the Coordinator lifts his siege of ComStar facilities, the Combine will be placed under Interdiction. Coordinator, when you view this...I hope you realize what a grave mistake you have made, and come to your senses quickly.

Messages from soldiers on the front will still be allowed to pass through to their families. This interdiction is not meant to punish the average Combine citizen. But govornment and business messages will no longer be accepted or transmitted, and all in-transit messages will be stopped in place.

Today at 07:30 a series of bombs detonated at one of the newly built factories designated for 'special vehicle' production.
The detonations claimed the lives of several dozen staff members of the engineering and science staff assigned to that site.
So far TarHes Industries were unwilling to comment on the exact number of hurt staff but they gave us the following statement:

"TarHes industries is in shock and terror considering the shameless act of terror commit in our midst. Every single member of the scientific and technical staff was a high value member of our comany and vital to the survival of the Federated Commonwealth and while the damage to our production site is massive, the loss of lives is what really hurts us deep in our hearts. We told those lads that there will not be a living Highlander on this world when they take it, and we are true to our word, but they will not come and fight us with honor, no claymore will strike their swords, no rifle their soliders, no mech will arrive to be taken down by our tanks. Screen opens to Protector Thomas Calderon sitting behind his desk in the Protectors Office.

"People of the Concordat we have been through so much. Our history is filled with a constant battle for the freedom that we so richly desire and deserve.

I am the first to stand up, no I am the first to fight for each citizen of our Concordat to express themselves in seeking these freedoms.

Slightly over a month ago, I was given a stack of papers from a large group of our citizen soldiers. They asked me to allow them to resign their commissions in service for our lands. I met with some of them and their reasoning was they feared that they may not be able to uphold their duty to us all, because of difference of opinions. I did not feel this was a good enough reason, but could not hold someone against their freedom. So I granted their resignations.

Than mere weeks ago, our accounting office received payments for materials held by these citizens in their acts as our guardians. Most of the materials were person family gear, but some could have been deemed war goods of the Concordat. The memo accompanying the payment stated that our citizens wanted to insure that they were as close as able to not breach our trust and law. With our judicial analyst reading of our laws we released the materials.

Our, no my, belief was that these brothers and sisters would move further into the deep to find the freedom that they stated to me that they held dear.

With heavy heart I must report that something else happened.

Lead by my cousin Brenda Calderon these units claimed salvages of a recently recovered derelict warship form our history. They seem to have again been within our law, by their methods and movements thereafter now call everything into suspect.

As our investigators dug into the funds, abilities, and movements it now seems clear to me that these citizens took a path for what they saw as freedom, but it was funded by the enemy at our gates. The funds passed through Federated Commonwealth accounts, showing us once more that these historical enemies of our homes will even use our own quest for freedom to buy our loyalty.

I find it hard to fault these fellow citizens; perhaps even now they think that they serve the cause of justice, but when the devil pays the dues is the cause truly right.

These men and woman that have moved out of our realm and I am sorry to say can no longer be welcome to return, we cannot allow their actions to go without censure from our lives. The monies that they paid for their equipment will go to reforming the Red Chasseurs: Bright Flame Regiment and the Red Chasseurs Armored Reconnaissance; both of these units have a long history of loyal serve to our people. We will also send some of the funds to boast the forces of the PACT Marshals, an organization formed to keep the peace throughout the periphery.

The Federated Commonwealth paymasters have fooled some of our family into actions that we cannot condone, so to try to make the unright, right, we will use their own pay to build our Concordat and the PACT alliance even stronger against their actions of deceit and lies."

Today Duke William, Townshed-Davion issued a scathing condemnation of the brutal orbital bombardment of the surface of Northwind by ComGuard Naval forces loyal to Primus Waterly and the secretive cabal known as The Blood. The Duke compared the actions taken by the Primus over the past year or more as coming straight out of the Amaris playbook of dirty tricks and atrocities and a return to the indiscriminate warfare of the 1st Succession War.

He issued a call for all those within Comstar who are not party to Waterly's mad ambitions to stand up and either refuse to carry out her orders or to openly oppose her and her allies. All that is required for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing, he paraphrased the ancient saying and that for those with the courage to stand to know that they are not alone.

When asked about the recent accusations from Protector Thomas Calderon, His Grace's response was (quote) "Poppycock!!!! I hate to burst Lord Calderon's bubble but he should lay off the paranoia flavored cool-aid that the Rom agent assigned to him keeps giving him. All we know presently is the people in question have expressed interest in joining this ISDF movement to oppose the lunatic cabal running Terra. There is and has never been any plan, scheme or inclination of the part of the Sun's State Command or the FedCom to interfere with the Taurian's internal affairs on any level sorry but I'm of no mind to repeat the Old  Star League's stupidity, I much prefer living peacefully with our Periphery neighbors."

Precentor Tikonov, Michael Dietrick, was recently asked by INN about Duke William Townshend-Davion's comments concerning the alleged bombardment of Northwind by the ComGuards.

"Well unless the good Duke was on Northwind at the time of this 'bombardment', I would say he is doing little more than rumormongering. As far as I know, there has been no verified evidence of what exactly has happened there. 'Explosions' on the surface could hardly be surprising considering the fact there is a war going on, and everyone knows how tenacious the Highlanders can be. One would expect them to be especially ferocious in defense of their homeworld.

And furthermore, I feel I must remind the good Duke that Amaris was not a combatant during the 1st Succession War: his own nation, aswell as others, were responsible for the untold atrocities of that conflict. Everyone remembers the Kentares Massacre of course: perhaps the Duke should remember who it is that has massacred who in the past.

In any event, the truth will eventually win out. If indeed that bombardment occured, then I am sure the good Duke will lead the charge from his white horse, swinging his white sword, wearing his white armor, to bring 'justice' to those that have been responsible for the deaths of countless innocents...starting with his entire family, for their unbridled greed."

The Precentor ended the questions after that, stating he had important duties to return to, and that he 'couldn't be bothered to respond to such an asinine, hypocritical statement' again. Before leaving, we attempted to ask him about the statements made by Protector Calderon, and the Duke's response to them.

"The Federated Sun's conflict with the Taurians is long and well-established. And their 'Company Store' policies are quite infamous among mercenaries. I do not know if it is true, but I would hardly call it surprising."

Has ComStar made a dire agreement with the Draconis Combine? What is behind this plan? And is this the source of the recent change in C* politics?

Terror on Tharkad, civillians hiding in bomb shelters and everybody fears a new bomb. Millions are dead as we all have the same question: "Who is behind it and why?"
Brave civillians talk with us about their fears:

Woman, holding her child: " I did hear that the Draconis Combine was opening a embassy on Tharkad the week it happend, I don't think that this is a coincidence. "

In the last quarter of this year, former Prince Elect Haakon Magnusson was charged with a motion of cencure, which turned out positive. The reason was a false flag military operation against the Federated Commonwealth under Combine colours. This is not only a breaking of neutrality and the fair-trade agreement between FC, FRR and DC but also a massive endangerment of the security and people of Rasalhague. The votum fell directly in the times of election for the Rasalhaguian Parlaiment which lead to a massive loose of votes for his party. His cabinet and himself are right now under charge.

However: the true winners of the new election are...

Folkpartiet liberalerna (FL): Standing for a strong, independent and neutral FRR. Which are providing, with a absolute majority the new Prince-Elect from their ranks and sporting 54% of the Riksdag

Dragiedemokraternay: Profiting from the former failure of the Prince Elect, the fear of a harsh answer from the FC and known for their pro-Draconian politics. They managed to claim 35% of the Votes

Newly elected Minister of Inner Affairs, Kustya Elsedotter (FL) announced that all charges will be investigated harshly and that she will not allow such a thing to happen ever again.

Hard times for the new prince-elect are coming as the FC has not made any announcements on the matter and Coordinator Theodore Kurita sent a letter of displeasement via Courier-ship. C* was called on the plan to help clearing the situation but no further informations are given at the time.

Will the new prince-elect find a way through this political mess? In any case, we will keep you informed.

  In a join statement from both Duke Townshed and Archon-Emaritus Steiner a day of national mourning was called for in the wake of the nuclear bombing of the Triad and devastation wrought on the surrounding areas. Presently investigations are underway and while all possibilities are being looked into by the intelligence services more then a few are looking at Comstar, specifically the extremist factions following the orders of Primus Waterly and currently waging war against both the FedCom and the Draconis Combine.

  Regent Steiner who was attending a series of briefing at the Lyran State Command Center at Asgard when the attack occurred has set up temporary accommodations there for the time being as rescue crews and other relief efforts work round the clock to save any who can be saved. In addition she in a short interview with the media answered questions.

"Regarding the accusations of collusion between the Combine and Comstar prior to 3040 that were so conveniently leaked, that the Combine had a close relationship with them is no secrert, we learned that truth of this during the 3039 conflict. That said I know from my own daughter that Waterly also only a year or so ago was trying to buy the Commonwealth's friendship with promises of Losttech and all manner of other gifts such as the Invincible. Well we know now while she was offering with one hand she was readying a dagger in the other behind her back."

"To the questions regarding the our neighbors in the FRR, I am glad to see that the people of that realm have voted Prince Elect Haakon Magnusson out of office. I have seen the evidence obtained by LOKI on Tamar and the other worlds attacked that the invaders where  KungsArme units and mercenary commands in their employ pretending to be newly created DCMS units. Perhaps the Prince sough to take advantage of the distraction caused by the conflict with the Confederation to grab a few systems and distract us with a expanding conflict with House Kurita."

Recently trading activity has increased once more in the Draconis Combine, but the merchants returning from the realm of the dragon bring not only goods with them. Rumors state that every ComStar worker in the Combine was put under arrest, given barely enough time to turn down the massive HPG-facilities. No information was given what caused this drastic measure, be it the ComGuards recent activity or the interdirction the Combine was put under from Precentor Luthien.

On thing however is clear, the conflict between the Combine and ComStar intensifies.

Vice Director Badhi Hafeez has announced that he was given the information that lady Hinata Isu died on Terra, when C*-Forces engaged the personal guard of Coordinator Theodore Kurita during his attempt to leave the planet. The exact circumstances are still unknown, but should this proof to be true, C* broke the neutrality assignment with the ISCP and will be find itself in front of court.

Newly promoted Director Badhi Hafeez demands instant clarrification on the matter from C* and the immediate release of lady Hinata Isus body if this information is correct.

Strangely enough, C* had anounced just a few months ago that lady Hinata Isu was held for crimes of war, a charge counted as unbelieavable by the ISCP as the lady was "our shining light of peace for a brighter future" as Director Hafeez said himself.

Major protests and rallies against the current FRR Prince-Elect and other government officials are continuing and gaining in strength.  The RPB reports that the Provincial Riksdags and the 2nd and 3rd Estate have agreed and voted to hold new elections.  Since this goes counter to what the FRR Constitution allows, the question is, what will happen now?  Will the Prince-Elect choose to crack down on the protests and ignore the PRs, 2nd, and 3rd Estates?  Or will the will of the people guide the FRR on a new direction?

In an unprecedented move, the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Estates, and the 3 Regioinal Riksdags voted to remove the current Prince-Elect from office, revise the constitutions, and hold new elections on Feb. 20th.  The KungsArme and the National Rasalhague Intelligence Service both released statements, while not condoning the move, that they will not hinder the move either.  The vote also ensures that there is a de-facto government (national and regional) shutdown until the Prince-Election and his cabinet step down and the care taker government takes over.

No word as yet from the Prince-Elect's office...

What started out today as another morning or protests and rallies, turned into a day of celebration.  A spokeswoman for the Prince-Elect gave a brief announcement.  She read a statement from the Prince-Elect, "I, the Prince-Elect, do not wish to continue this current situation of mistrust and protest.  I have done my best to represent the citizens of the FRR.  It seems that some parties have other ideas.  Rather than fight and cause harm to the FRR and it's citizens, i have agreed to step down effective immediately.  I am sorry that the current situation did not allow me to serve you as your Prince-Elect any longer.  Long live the FRR!  A free Rasalhague forever!"

There was an quick response from the coalition of parties.  They thanked the Prince for putting the FRR before self.  The caretaker government will assume the duties of the Prince-Elect and the Cabinet.  The new elections will be held on February 20th.  A new Prince-Elect and cabinet will be sworn in as soon as a majority of the parties can agree to form a new government.

The caretaker government is a collection of all of the major parties that have been involved in the negotiations with the previous Prince-Elect.  They have all of the powers of the previous Prince-Elect's office.  However, due to the nature of it being a caretaker government, they are very unlikely to bring forth new policies or laws.  The only sure things are the acceptance into law of the new Constitutional changes and the removal of the last of the military governors, leftover from the Ronin War years.

It has been a truly monumental day for the FRR.  Having been the most democratic of all of the major houses and factions in the IS and the Periphery for the time during it's short existence, how will the change to an even more democratic system change the FRR?  Time will tell.  Now we await the upcoming election and the results there from.

This just in, the FRR Communications Department confirmed the following election results:

As there have been many new parties created prior to this election, here is the list of the main parties and their elected leader:

Now the FRR must wait while the parties in the 2nd Estate form a government.  If one party would have won a 50% majority, they could form a government on their own.  The results show that the most likely shape the new government will take is the SweDe Party joining with one or two more parties to form a coalition government.  This is all new to the FRR and there is quite the chatter and the street to see how this works and who will be the next Prince-Elect.

On to economic news.  The 4th Estate is hoping that the dismantling of the 1 for 1 System (where the FRR must import good from the LC and the DC at an equal value) will increase growth.  The 1 for 1 System has been a real logistical slowdown and thus limiting trade between the LC and DC with the FRR.  Replacing the last of the military governors with civilian leaders should also bring those planets up to speed economically.

Also, it has been reported that the FRR is reaching out to strengthen economic ties with the DC, the ARAR, and the FWL.  Word has it that the negotiations between the FRR, ARAR, and DC are progressing quickly, but the FWL has yet to officially respond to the FRR's overtures.

Noticeably lacking out off of this list is the FC.  A source in the FRR's diplomatic department stated (off the record) that the FC has been very chill to any improvements in the FC and FRR relationship on any level.  The weight of the Tamar Invasion and the cloudy reasons why they took place hang heavy over the small possibility of improved relations.  The source continued to state that, prior to the FC, even the LC was not all that interested in closer relations to the FRR, while the DC has been pushing and making offers for the last two years.  The FRR has benefited from it's DC relationship.  The FRR would like to benefit from it's relationship with their Lyran neighbors too.  While the FRR does not want to return to the 1 for 1 System, it would like to bring the relations with their neighbors more into balance.  However, there has been not official word to this effect.

For instance a transport shuttle was hit by a large metallic object that was bearing the word "Vision". Now rumors state that."

Without a sound a sound a Shilone formation flew by, bearing the Repuplic Navy sign, stearing what could be considered upwards right now, then a C* ship showed up... firing its Autocannons at the Wing.

Then a massive explosion hit the C* ship as the "Blakes Strength" fired its weaponry and hit hard.

Surprisingly or maybe not a surprise at all, the care taker government is still in place in Rasalhague.  Some expected the SweDe's overwhelming victory to quickly translate into them finding one or two partners and forming a government.  Others expected the parties to struggle through this new process.  The later is what is taking place.  The SweDe party is secure in knowing that they are in the "drivers seat."  Suitors are negotiating with the SweDe for a chance to be part of the new government.

Those in the governing coalition will be part of the cabinet and have a say in what the platform for the government will be.  As this is the first time any of these parties are partaking in such an event, it has dragged out.  Stories of the ancient Kingdom of Belgie going without a government for over a year are told.  Some of the population is wondering if they took the correct course in taking on this form of government.  Most are anxious to have a new government formed, but accept that, this being the first time, it might take longer than expected.

Rumors abound as to who is or who are the front runners to be the coalition partner(s).  The RDP (pro-DC) has the "inside track" as it is the second highest vote getter.  They can claim the mantle of second most voted for party and thus rightfully the chosen partner for the SweDe.  Other parties with smaller voting percentages are leveraging what they can to try and bump the RDP out of the running.  However, with the popularity of DC friendly relations increasing, the likelihood of this happening seems to be diminishing.  To most of the population, it is very much a "what have you done for us lately" frame of mind.

Recent polls suggest that a large majority of the FRR population does not even consider the Tamar invasion, and the KungsArme's involvement there in, when thinking of relations with the DC and the FC.  The FRR population anxiously awaits the findings of the Tamar Invasion Investigative Committee.  They would like to place the blame and move on with their lives.  The fact that those responsible will likely be handed over to the FC to be tried, does not seem to faze the average citizen on the street.  "They get what they deserve," is the popular sentiment.

The cameras focused on the Rasalhague Intelligence Service spokesperson.  "Good afternoon, the RIS is releasing their findings of the Tamar Invasion Investigation.  You will be sent the complete findings directly.  To summarize the findings:

The RIS found that the plot was planned and orchestrated by the former Prince-Elect Magnusson and the former Chief of Staff of the Command Council of the KungsArme's General Mansdottir.  There were lesser players involved, but they were not found to have been invested in the scheme.  These other players were following instructions and orders on the good faith that uniformed members of the KungsArme should have in their commanders.  They should have questioned these orders but did not.  Therefore, the KungsArme has handed out disciplinary actions to these other involved individuals.

Former Prince-Elect Magnusson and the former Chief of Staff of the Command Council of the KungsArme's General Mansdottir will be handed of to the FC to face justice there.  We fully expect the FC to adhere to their legal code and provide them with a fair and just verdict.

One rumor that i will address is the supposed DC involvement in the Tamar Invasion plot.  Our investigation found no traces of evidence of any DC involvement."

In a plain ceremony in the 2nd Estate's meeting hall, a new Prince-Elect was sworn in by the Landtmarskalk.  Actually, for the first time, the FRR now had a Princess-Elect, Elsa Lidstrom (leader of the SweDe Party).  Also sworn in was the vice-Princess-Elect, Kustya Marksdotter (leader of the RDP), and the remaining cabinet members of this coalition government.

The opposition parties did not have much to say.  It would seem that they are still organizing themselves and finding a common platform to agree on.

  Today former Prince-Elect Magnusson and the former Chief of Staff of the Command Council of the KungsArme's General Mansdottir arrived under heavy guard where they were quickly shuffled off to a undisclosed location pending questioning prior to any charges being presented against them. Archon-Regent Steiner promised both men would receive their day in court, to answer for their plot to instigate a new FC/DC conflict by invading the Tamar region with FRR units operating under DCMS colors.

  Immediately after that she announced that the FC had just completed discussions with the newly elected Prince Elect's representative. The aim of the discussions were to mend the rift instigated by the deposed Magnusson and begin a new relationship. Much has changed of late Katrina noted, that it was in our best interests to help the Republic move out from beneath the shadow of it's failed leader and of being a Comstar creation. The FRR is here to stay and the FC will defend their right to exist  provided they remain good neighbors of course.

  In other news on the other side of the FC spokesman for Duke-Regent William Davion announced that Arthur Steiner-Davion was not only alive but had been returned to his family on New Avalon. No details about how the young heir had come to escape the horror on Outreach was immediately disclosed, only that they would be in several days when the Regent addressed  the people about the news that has filtered out concerning the fates of Northwind and Outreach.

In other news, General Gustaf Mannerheim, CinC of the KungsArme, released a statement that the KungsArme's lone assault mech regiment, the Gunzberg Eagles, will now assume the traditions of the Tyr Regiment.  "The Tyr Regiment holds a special place in the hearts of the Rasalhagian people.  With the renewed relations with the FC, the KungsArme felt that a active Tyr Regiment would honor that occasion."  The Tyr regiment will be part of the new Aesir Mech Brigade.  In honor of the strong bonds the FRR has established with the DC, there will be a new infantry brigade, the Samurai Brigade.  The regiments therein will be named after some of the ancient Samurai Districts in then feudal Japan.

State of the PACT

PACT Council
Thomas Aquilinus, Arbitrator of the PACT Council, announced today that the PACT, "formally acknowledges the force now stationed with in the ISDF" the unit is made up of independent PACT armed forces that had used legal means to take their equipment and join the ISDF. In order to show that the unit is a united PACT it will be under the command of the PACT Marshal's, a security and policing force created by the PACT to enforce and act upon the rulings of the treaty organization.
The 3rd Marshal's Calvary Regiment, commanded by District Marshal Brenda Calderon, has been given funds to build up its support units of armor and infantry to full strength to include the new Battle Armor. Inside sources have let slip that the other unit attached is Ramilie's Raiders, a long time mercenary unit of the Magistracy of Canopus, will also be adding to their mech regiment with the funds delivered.
Arbitrator Aquilinus was clear in stating while the PACT supports the ideals of the ISDF, they still have concerns over the structure of the charter. Ian Kurita-Calderon has been named ambassador to the ISDF and is traveling now through the Inner Sphere to meet with the leaders of the organization.
It has also been announced that the planet of Independence will be made into the new PACT council home planet; the planet will be ruled by the council and act as a completely neutral place with in the protected territories.

Taurian Concordat
As stated Ian Kurita-Calderon is moving with his new wife and family to the Draconis Combine to take up his duties for the PACT. Protector Thomas Calderon bid farewell to his first grandson in a private party held before the unannounced departure. Representatives for the Protector stated that the Taurian Concordat  is a loyal member of the PACT and supports the ISDF's goals, while pointing out that as of last report, the Federated Commonwealth "in their continued actions does not support" this new initiative. Adding to his statement Protector Calderon went on to say, "once more we see the great Federated Suns (Commonwealth), does not seek peace, instead they look for excuses to bring war to our independent periphery PACT. The Taurian people will be defended from all aggressors."

Magistracy of Canopus
The loss of the 2nd Canopian Fusilliers Armored Guard as they moved to further secure the PACT against pirates has hit the Magistracy hard. As further data comes in it seems that the pirate band on the lost world of Detroit had an aged warship that suffered a major core breach, which decimated all parts of the system. Humanitarian aid pours into the area from throughout the PACT with even Draconis Combine representatives seen in the area. The PACT Marshal's are pointing to this and the complete genocide on Cygnus from curable disease (if the planet had contact with the MOC health care system), as further reason to continue operations securing planets outside PACT space.
Ashanti Centrella, a close cousin to the Magistrix, was last seen on St. Ives for the initial ISDF talks, but has not been heard from since. It is believed she will join the other PACT ambassadors on Independence.

Marian Hegemony
Imperator O'Reilly has been seen on the planet of Niops with his grandson Julius, there he meet with the President of Niops and the Dróttning (Queen) of the Lothian Palatine. Not much was shared about the meetings. The Imperators only child Prefect Sean O'Reilly has been given command of the Ultima Legio ex Mortuis and stationed in the Lothian Palatine. The rumors continue to circulate that this is an exile, but official channels state that only an O'Reilly can pull these lost souls back to loyal service to the Imperator.

Niops
Nips grows into an interstellar realm with addition of Astrokazy to its protection. The realm has seen a major increase in production since they have joined the PACT and their militia was the first to match the Inner Sphere's deployment of "Battle Armored" Infantry. Niops has decided to swll their armored units to the Lothian Palatine as they concentrate on the deployment of multiple new armored infantry regiments. Little is known about the meeting with the Hegemony and the Palatine, but afterwards the conventional armored units started shipping as did mechs and battle armor to the newest PACT signee. There are unconfirmed reports that the Free World Ambassador also meet with the Leaders, but nothing was stated in official communications.

 
Lothian Palatine
With Niops this realm has seen the most activity in the last few years. This realm joined together, than petitioned the PACT as they were concerned about the further aggression of the Free Worlds League as they had occupied the Palatines longtime nemesis the Curcinus Federation. They seem to have gotten an excellent deal as the Hegemony has stationed a full Legion here, Niops sells them units a cost and PACT Marshal's deployed throughout the territory. Their own ambassador Eirik Olsen sat with the PACT representatives on St. Ives and is seconded to Ian Kurita-Calderon as the PACT ISDF representatives.

INN New Avalon

INN Palace Correspondent Linda Lanner got an opportunity to ask Duke William his reaction to the latest accusation from Protector Calderon? Video clip cuts to the Regent turning to one of his aides "Did anyone propose anything during the briefing about attacking the the PACT?" the young officer shakes their head as well as the other's behind him.

Off to the side Intelligence Minister Allard makes a show of checking his notes "No Your Grace nothing of the sort."

The Duke lets out a stage sigh of relief "Good, I was fairly sure I had managed to not nod off today and miss something like that. Now Miss Lanner in all seriousness either the Protector is delusional or just desperate for attention. A FedCom reporter stood up next "Do you have any information on any of the FedCom representatives that were seized on Terra during the conference with Comstar, or Archon Steiner Davion or the Duke of New Syrtis who were on Outreach when it was attacked by the Comguards?"

"While I am not informed on their exact current status, they will be released with the negotiated Prisoner exchange program and be handed over to the Combine within the next 48 hours on Dieron.
The Draconis combine had insisted on the exchange of all prisoners, so they were included."

Next came a question from a reporter employed by one of the major Lyran news agencies.  "What of
Northwind and Outreach?  Does Comstar fully acknowledge the atrocities enacted on these two worlds by units of the ComGuards and which therefore must have been carried out on the orders of the Orders hierarchy, and what reparations will Comstar offer to the survivors so that may mourn and rebuild their worlds?  And indeed, if Comstar does admit guilt in these acts which go contrary to the Ares Convention, what then does that mean for the Federated Commonwealth, as we here see no indication of any peace deal being struck here today between that realm and your Order?"

He narrowed his eyes
"We upheld service in the Federated commonwealth. We returned the hostages that were kept save in our custody. What else does the Federated Commonwealth want? An apology? I do not see any need for this. As for Outreach and Northwind: It was time someone took care of those..."

"Those......what?" the FedCom reporter asked leadingly from beside her Lyran affiliate "Please do elaborate for us why your Peaceful Order felt the need to commit mass murder against those people?"

"Both got what they deserved for their defiance against the Holy Order. Comstar has long enough played the peaceful dwellers on Terran soil.

 Standing up as well the FC reporter shuck her head as she turned to her fellow reporters "It's not a declaration of war as much as a announcement of their suicide." then actually managed a bit of a smile "I look forward to seeing you all again when we cover the funeral for this lot in the near future."

A man pushed onto the podium, shoving aside the Primus
"Ladies and gentlemen! Please! Calm down! I would kindly ask you to cut all footage of the last two minutes. This is clearly not the official position that Comstar wants to take!"

With the arrival of the clans Comstar declares a state of emergency rising the C* tax to 10% for all participating nations using the HPG network.

Reports are incoming that after announcing that after "They don't want to cause civilian casualities." Clan Star Adders warship fleet orbital bombarded cities on Herotitus. The descendants of the Star League seem to have lost the values of life in their travel through space. Ambassador Shin Honda of the Draconis Combine, stated on a interview here on Canopus "That such atrocities are the worst. " Calling that the Clan Star Adder is honorless as ComStar itself by doing this murderous act. Massiv troop movements of the Inner-Sphere-Defense-Force and Draconian Auxilliars are currently moving rimwards to meet the threat to the just achieved peace.
" We managed to have peace for less than three months in the Inner-Sphere, then the clans came... Multiple codes of honor are in use in the Inner-Sphere. Most famous, the Ares Conventions, which were introduced during the Star League era, and reintroduced during the Succession wars allowed for a largely ritualized battle that would secure civilian life, by forbidding weapons of mass destruction, chemical weapons, bio-weapons and restricted the use of warships bombardment.

Zellbringen, the Clans counterpart on the Ares conventions shows large similarities, but it must be stated that every clan interprets this rules on his own behalf and might even act against them, according to records and leaks of military documents.

Furthermore the houses have developed own honor codes, according to their culture. For instance, House Kurita, which introduced the Code of bushido together with the Dictum Honorium to the House and the DCMS, which are by far the most strictest codes in the Inner-Sphere, going literally down to declare how to take a dump correctly, while on a foreigners toilet:

C* has just a service outage / interdiction warning for the entire Free Worlds League.

This means that not only will Free Worlds League nation personell and military will be unable to send and recieve messages, but also foreign citicens or secret service members will be prohibited from sending messages.

The Chancellor has been facing increasing pressure from the other Great Houses to discontinue the services of Comstar citing the numerous atrocities that befell the nations of the Inner Sphere over a year ago. The Chancellor herself was unable to be reached for comment, but the new House of Scions Press Secretary Margaret Yu had this to say. <Clip Rolls>

"If we were going to do that, it would have been when their Primus had Chancellor Romano Liao assassinated. As satisfying as such a unified action would have been, and the Capellan people would have surely supported the Chancellor if this was the decision, we are a nation at war with forces we can barely comprehend. Our realm is small by comparison to the other Great Houses but we have many, many citizens and we cannot afford to alienate anyone during this time of crisis. So no, we will not be cancelling our contract with Comstar at this time."

Madam Press Secretary did go on in further comments to state that any rate increases while we are at war with the Clans would be seen as an act of profiteering and in that case, they would be forced to reconsider their position.
