The Occupants of New Kent register an IR signature incoming at a strange point. Before one can raise alarm, the signal is lost.

There is no sign of anything. Nothing.

The Star Commander on Watch signals the Combat Scientist to keep an eye on this thingy, but that dude already knows: that was a misjump. And grins.
