- Join FGC 3091 as a new member

I have plenty of free time right now, so I figure I would join up with this game, if you don't mind. You can thank Fate for luring me here.
I could try my hand at running Clan Blood Spirit (as the last remaining vacant faction), though as a caveat I would say that I have no FGC experience, other than the preliminary stuff for the 3010 game, so I would have to learn how to run a faction.
Otherwise;
If that's a problem I could join another faction as a minor player, if someone wants a minion. (I'm hesitant to name which factions I wouldn't mind joining, because I don't want to step on someone's else's toes.)
Either way, I'm more than willing.
Personally, I'd rather see the current factions fleshed out before we bring others back into the fold. All but 2 factions currently only have a single player(those two being the Dominion with 3, and the Lyran Alliance with 2).
So really, take your pic of factions to play in. I know I could use someone in a Suns uniform, Chaos could use an adversary in the FWL Parliament, GreyJaeger is stirring the Draconis pot, and the Clans are always there to add unease everywhere they step.
Well, how about:
1. Clan Steel Viper
2. Free Worlds League
3. Clan Ice Hellion
NIIIBS! :D And your using the Cookie Monster Avatar ;D
Ice Hellion as third option? Thats tremendous!
:)
But if the Vipers want you (have no doubt about it, sadly), you could still become FWL player. They have not much interaction, so the only limit is your time.
If the Vipers dont wanna have a Freebirth, then you would be most welcome. :D
Well, I've been watching this long enough now, I may throw my hat in the ring. Just know that its my second game to play, and don't expect too overly much.
1) Adders
2) Hellions
3) FWL (possibly on top of one of the first two, if there's no conflict, and if things in the other game don't pick up).
Welcome to the party. :-)
Nibs and IM welcome to the game please PM me your first choice so that I know where you are going.
*hopes IM returns as an Adder*
Hopes IM chooses Hellions in a true fashioned Hellion-blitz-decision. :D
But I could live with him as Adder as well. :)
I've got cherictors in both, and I like working with you both. But Amy Lynn went Adder, for a number of IC and OOC reasons, and I'd follow her if I could.
IM is approved for CSA
Nibs is approved CSV
Kern is approved for the Lyrans
Just to make this official:
JediBear, Ghost Bear player for the New Dominion.
Considering opposition player for the Horse Alliance.

Approved, welcome back!
The Dominion list is missing Elrad's name.
Possibly because there was no posting of his involvement. When DR gives the okay, i'll update it
All new Player's MUST post here...Elrad will be formally approved for the RASDOM once he does.
Did someone call my name? ^^
I am hereby officially applying to play for the New Dominion.
*sigh* it'd be nice if half the playerbase wasn't in one faction :P
adding Elrad to the Dominion roster
I already had him listed as one of mine before DR6 cut us off. All three of my people are pretty much RP only. These are people that didn't want to run factions. We are running a mega faction from the perspecitives of the several factions involved in the New Dominion. Or at least thats the plan. Besides, you can't complain, I brought you a Niblet. :P
Bear - Jedibear
Raven - Elrad
Wyvern - Dave B.
4 players for what ammounts to 2 factions. Calling the FRR its own faction is stetching things- the Bears have been integrated with them for how long now? :P
And I'm not saying they all need to run factions. Just spread the players around a bit from now on. No more Dom players!
He he he, well we are frozen for new players, so you get your wish. ;)

Probably true, but if I wasn't in the Dominion, I'd likely not be here at all.
Weather or not I share Grae's specific views on things (I'll keep my specific view to my self), I made it clear when I signed up for this game that I had neither the time, energy or inclination to run a faction solo. With Grae having taken his path, unless someone else is prepaired to step up and run the Adders, I too have to bow out.
If there are openings, I'd like to switch to the Hellions or FWL or some other faction that needs a part time player.
:o :( :-\
You are welcome as Hellion of course. But... but..
...Naturaly.
If there were some player who wanted a hand in the Adders, but needed a bit of help as far as RP and as far as getting the sense of where we've been and where we thought we wanted to go, I could surely stay on as a sort of Loremaster, or else act as a consualtant.
But, when it comes to making orders, when it comes to watching over combat and really supervising a faction in the sort of stretegic game that this game is fast becoming, that's not something for me. So if there's none of that for the Adders, then I'll contribute to a faction that does have strong leadership, but could benifit from some RP and from other things I feel I can provide.

If nobody else steps up to do the boring book-keeping side, and you still want to play Adder, I'll volunteer for it, but I'd rather not, given the two factions I'm already dealing with as faction head.
I figure giving everyone till Sunday to decide if they want to walk into this situation is time enough.
Well, if you wished to take that on, I would think that my presense would ensure that for your Adder actions at least, you acted in the faction's best intrest and didn't let your UIW intrests or knolage exert too much influance. Though you'd have to be your own check for the UIW and CC, naturaly.

Still has to be cleared through Deathrider6, and I figure Sunday's a good deadline given the deadlines for everything else, but if he's good with it, and nobody else steps up...well, y'know.
I would offer my service for the Adders as well although I would trust Cannonshop to have them of course.
IM: That would be the Hellions. :D

I will discuss this with you later this weekend CS.
I'm happy to take on the Adder paperwork and other stuff associated with them. I've had a pretty good relationship with Grae, IM and Dis. And I don't share a border with the Adders with my other factions, which I still believe should be one of the bedrock game rules.
im personally against the idea of placing the GC under the control of 3 people. 2 people already have 4 votes each because of their 2 Clans. Thats bad enough
Well, truthfuly, that's only true of Marlin. And, no offense Marlin, the Cats are perhaps the more poorly respected Clan of all, so he hasn't got that much more voice than anyone else. The Ravo-Bears have enough players that they can act as a check on one another, and devide that power more evenly. And, if Parm or CS or Marlin or anyone else took over the Adders, that would alow me to remain on as Amy Lynn, so any prospective Adder would only gain one vote, and there would be an IC and OOC check on that vote.
That said, if you know of a player that isn't already a Khan who would want to take the job, by all means encourage them to apply for the opening.
As far as Parm goes, I would happily work with him. He's been in the game as long as I have (longer?) and we get along very well. More over, the MoC and Adders have cooperated for years, so he knows a bit about the faction and he has its best intrests at heart already. With the Horses in the OA, there's minimal conflict of intrest in that area.

Bad enough? How about 2 votes in the shrinking Star League Council for you.
The Lyrans are not currently a part of the Star Leauge, one of the many reasons being because I don't feel like dealing with exactly that sort of situation. I'm still firmly against placing a Clan player in control of another Clan faction.
I think Parm would be (of all the few) the best choice for this. At least ad interim.
And I'm still firmly against player run factions sharing common borders. But it's happening.
I've put my offer on the table and will wait on the actual GM to make any decision.
Who is sharing a bored between their factions? None of the Clans are, and the LA and FS don't share a border either.
IF and I mean IF Cannonshop was to take stewardship of the Adder's paperwork the Adders and CSA/SACS share a common border. I am still debating how I want to deal with the current situation. I should be speaking with Cannonshop today. I know that both Parm and CS could and would do a very good job of being impartial and protecting the Adders interests. As Parm said it is a GM decision I will be making that soonest.
We have a player interested in the DC...claive. Everybody make him feel welcome.
Cool. But welcome, no can do, brother, as DC is enemy. ;D
Welcome, claive. Hope you enjoy having a large House. Some times I wish for that too. In a minor role with fun RP mostly. :P At least at the moment.

Welcome aboard, Xanto! Let Daemonknight and I know if there is anything we can do to help you out :)
Now that my personal life has stabilized into something not entirely insane, I'd like to jump back in. My preferred faction choices are as follows, in order:
1. Clan Spirit Cats (I've some experience with 'em, since I RPed their return to the Clans, anyway, and was the Nova Cat player for a while before the GMs did the whole Core Alliance thing)
2. Union of Independent Worlds (Did y'all know the Niops Expeditionary Force is still up there? Seriously.)
3. First Lord of the Star League (I suppose I could always take Aerlinniel back, since the elf was mine, and she's still First Lord).
Oooo....Gio is back. Welcome back!
Welcome to Intelser and the game Gio. I don't believe we have met before, but from what I've heard, we're lucky to have you coming back to the FGC.
Let me and Dave get together, hopefully tonight or tomorrow, and we'll get you an answer ASAP. For now, you can ease yourself back into doing some Spirit Cat RP if you wish. I'll get you Grand Council board access now. Lot of interesting things are afoot in the Clans' spheres of influence. If you have any questions(about the Cats or the game itself), don't hesitate to ask.
as a former player, I would also offer some insight in to the Cats.
Remember, I said I need to talk to Dave. There were plans on the table for the Cats that may, or may not be shelved with your interest Gio. So, you're free to get some warm-up RP, but please refrain from anything major untill you get the offical word from Dave or myself, after we've had a chat.
I did a quick check of my plans for the next couple of turns and I don't see any issues with the Cats going over to player-controlled status, so I have no objections.
Okay.. So I did some soul-searching and am asking to rejoin the FC. I am looking at assuming control of the Pesht District of the DC.
Gio, consider that your offical approval for taking over the helm of Clan Spirit Cat. Will get you the faction sheet tonight. Please send me your email address in a PM.

Grey:
This is conditionally approved, however due to staffing issues on the player side and a few other factors there may be some late-breaking changes in how the DC is set up. At this stage, you are free to do RP for the DC, but I won't have an orders sheet ready for you for next turn. There will be a lot of combat threads open for player involvement, including at least one or two involving the DC, so you should still be able to get in plenty of combat next turn if you're so inclined.

Not a problem.
PM should be along shortly, Daemonknight.
And Marlin, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks. :)
Just an FYI, registration to join factions is temporarily suspended pending some significant changes in the rules for faction membership.
However, this should not prevent anyone from participating in the Turning Points scenarios. These scenarios are open to any member of the forums even if you are not currently registered with a faction.
Looks like the CBT Forum's FGC is shut down indefinitely (has been since the summer)... So i thought i would check in to see what the opportunities are to play here.

Right now the best way to get into the game is to participate in the "Turning Points" threads for Turn 52. These are open to all forum members and don't require registration or anything - just post in the one(s) you want to play, find an opponent, and post the results when you are done :)
