He was unable to face a single warrior in equal combat, requiring a mech to deal with a single unaugmented mechwarrior. If that is the odds required by the Hellions, I dare you to unleash an orbital strike on my position, for you will not recieve the honor of Zellbrigen against me. Your trial is refused, as is Safcon for your forces."
"You Falcons have already lost your honor if you cannot even uphold to the Trials of our Founders. How you even aquired a bloodname is beyond me, lest you would know that the Defender in a Trial determines the manner of the Trial as well as the location. If the Falcons could not afford a Mechwarrior with a Bloodname to fight a Clan and thus do not take Trials seriously, then I cannot help you. The Khan won honorably. You better shut your beak about things you do not understand and tell me how and with what you will defend. Otherwise I will have to show you the folly of your ways."
No further transmissions are sent, and no ackknowledgement is recieved from the planet.
"Nadia Buhallin, eh?" Dietrich mused. "She was a tough bitch back then. Now she serves for a man that cares not for honor, just for his newfound masters. I shall not underestimate her. However, whatever I do, it would be a gamble. Patch me through to high Command."
Nadia Buhallin opens a channel.
"Whats wrong Ice Ferret? You've launched your illegal invasions of the rest of our territory, why the hesitation? It seems that Clan Ice Ferret is only capable of fighting old men and young boys, barely trained planetary militia. Here you face warriors, and you quail in fear at the thought of actually having to fight for your ill-gotten gains.
I suggest you run and hide, for the Khan will enjoy skinning you alive as the dark caste stravags that you are, you trashborn, filth."
"What are you talking about, wench? Which Khan? Yours? Certainly not. I would have more respect for you if you were Falcon Khan. I must shut down your mewling as I receive a message from a superior."
"Doubtless he is fearful that here you face true warriors. It seems that your other forces are barely able to defeat ancient solahma forces, and eyas boys. Our militia forces often gave better than they got. As before, without overwhelming force, your forces are worthless trashborn. Your training must be for knitting and playing with kittens, because I find your combat skills to be laughable at best, non-existant being more common.
So come. Do your worst, I will have our techs prepare the paintguns. Or are you still 'conversing' with your superiors? I thought we were already speaking?"
"Nadia, from what I hear, your Khan brags the same about his skills. He just does not prove it. I therefore give you a chance to prove it and show some honor, which I find lacking so far: I challenge you to a Trial of Grievance about what your spat against me, unwisely as I might add. Show me that the Falcons can not only talk, but take a fight. What do you say?"
"Ah, so now you wish to fight, Hellion? You wish to rail against the truth, but even victory here will not invalidate the words I have lain on you and your Clansmen. No action you perform will ever cover up the inaction you caused here, and no words of you or your Khan will ever regain the honor your Clan's heritage once claimed. Your Clan is soft and weak, fit only to provide ample training for the warriors of better Clans.
I accept your challenge. Mechs, fully armed. You are granted safcon for a single dropship, no escorts. Only your mech is allowed to leave the bay of your dropship, else the Safcon I have granted will be violated and you will be annihilated. Transmitting coordinates for landing."
"I wished to fight right from the start, Nadia. Was that not clear to you? You denied us the chance of honorable combat. Now there might be shards of honor left in you perhaps. The rest of your sput is just what we are used to by your Clan. Of course it will invalidate all your ramblings if I should win. That is how the Trial system works. It is your chance to prove that you are right and mine to prove you wrong. You should know that. Otherwise, you are devaluing our Customs just like your Khan does, and that spells the end of any Clan who does so.

not sure how criticals are important, but whatever. a single mech doesn't really have an FP value for the game, and the 'personal combat' rules don't apply to battlemech combat. Either way, Nadia defeats your Galaxy Commander, and takes him as a bondsman.
He will see several Trials for Position when he rejoins his Clan. (He is a VIP)
