The catasrophic attack on the Captain-General had been only a few weeks before, and the planet was still in mourning over the death of Anton Marik. However, not all were mourning.
One of the militia bases near Atreus City lost communications in wee hours of the night. Contact was re-established when a light company of mechs and armor was sent to investigate, the local milita commander not taking chances at this point. His forces made contact with the base, but no report was sent back. Before a force could be sent to investiagte this disturbance in force, a large force of battlemechs, armor and battlearmor spewed forth and started wreaking havok in the capital city!
36 FP of assorted combat troops appear on Atreus and move towards the capital city, intent on killing the newly installed Captain-General.

Just so we are clear "Oh shit! It's Omar run!"
lol awesome. Just for that, I might have to start watching The Wire. My bro always said it was a cool show.
The commander of the rebel mob(calling it a regiment would be a bit too generous) responded over an open channel.
"Oh lookie here boys, its the 31st come to play. All big and tough with their warship in orbit. Well Feddie, you done picked yourself the wrong boys to mess with! We've had enough of the fuckin' Mariks putting us down, and telling us this and that. Its about time someone who gave a shit about his people ran things. And what did you do? You killed him! Luckily his dream lives on, in us.
So take your 'power down' and shove it! We arn't afraid of you, or your warship! Lets see if you can fight like a man for once in your miserable life!" Rebel forces advance on the 31st's positions.

24-8 from orbital bombardment. = 16 - 7.2 (rounds to 7.25) 8.75 (Combined Marik Loyalist Forces after Round 1).
Rebels: 36-7-5-12= 12 FP remaining.

[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 6, 4, total 10[/blockquote]
In looking at the rules, Orbital Bombardments are 'Battle' type orders, meaning they are subject to initiative order. Mostly for future reference, to keep things in their proper order.
Rebels:
36 * 20% = 7.2 -> 7.25 FP damage dealt
8th Marik + Escorts:
24 * 50% = 12 FP damage dealt
Rebels Scatter:
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6+5 : 5, 3 + 5, total 13[/blockquote]%
only 13% of the Rebels are subject to the OrBomb
36 - 12 = 24 FP left
24 * 13% = 3 FP subject to OrBomb(and are destroyed)
The following % of FP are out of position next turn:
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 1, 2, total 3[/blockquote]
21 * 3% = .5 FP are out of position next turn
so, 21 FP survive this round, and 20.5 FP are availible in Op Round 2 for combat ops.

Looks like the rebels inflicted 25% (4.75 FP after rounding) and the FWL inflicted 60% (9.75 FP)
That leaves the rebels with 13.75 after damage control and the FWL with 12.50 after damage control (and of course, all the heavy metal in orbit)
