Just starting this thread so those of us that use megamek for this campaign can post any comments or ideas.
I got a couple right now! :D
OK, first one - the basic megamek client doesn't come with any camo schemes but I found a nice batch here: http://www.mekwars.org/ , listed under 'game files'. It's only a tiny dl and it makes the mech icons look cooler in-game. If anyone has any other links to good camo resources, please post 'em.
Maps for games - I think the ideal size is 2x2 standard mapsheets, or roughly 30-35 by 30-35 if using non-standard maps. That gives space to move and allows for a long range game without being so big that it takes forever to make contact or that some annoying ERLL Light mech can run-and-snipe forever and never be caught. Any thoughts on that, agree/disagree? I was also thinking that it might be a good idea to work up some conventions for map selection, I know we can hit the 'smite' button on anyone being all sly and unsporting if they manipulate stuff like this but it would still be good to have a rough framework so we know where we stand.
