"To the dezgra bandit caste traitor's of Clan Goliath Scorpion. The Grand Council in its "wisdom" denies you annihilation. But this world belongs to the Blood Spirits with what might would you dare contest our claim? This is Galaxy Commander Geoff Jones, and we have come for you rogues who have broken the Covenant of the Clans. Oh with what forces do you defend?"
Naval Engagement Orders:
Vau Galaxy "The Red Wings" : 19 FP Aero

[Gotta chat with the GMs about this.]
"This is Galaxy Commander Aidan Lobov, military commander of Roche and as such i deny your trial of possession for the world of Roche. Be gone from our space you honor less scum, for your action at Dagda, Huntress and Schwartz have shown just how far your clan has fallen. The Grand Council has denied your claim to Annihilation as you mentioned, so go throw your Hellion tantrum somewhere else; if you choose to stay and follow this illegal trial of annihilation I will defend myself with everything at my disposal!"
"Were you not paying attention during the challenge, Scorpion? Or has the necrosia gone straight to your traitorous brain? We have not issued a Trial of Annihilation, but a Trial of Possession. And if you insist on throwing away the lives of your warriors by employing all of what little you have at your disposal, then all I say to that is 'bargained well and done'. Prepare yourselves."
With that, the Spirits broke the connection. When next they communicated with the Scorpions left behind on the planet, it would not be with words, but with PPCs, long-range missiles, and the roar of autocannon fire. Already, their DropShips began their burn towards the planet, escorted by elements of the new Red Wings Galaxy, and as one, they moved on the enemy.
"This is Galaxy Commander Lobov to all Blood Spirit forces you are in violation of Goliath Scorpion territory, you will cease your transit to this world of face the consequences, this is your last warning. If you do not change course now you will be considered bandits in the eyes of the Scorpions and be treated as such, make your choice."
(Continue or retreat?)
Aboard the Spirits' flagship in charge of the operation, Galaxy Commander Johns opened up a channel to the Scorpions. He was tempted simply to maintain communications blackout, but he could not continue without offering the Scorpions one final chance for salvation. He then looked to his communications officer. "Ensure that this exchange is recorded and beam-cast directly to Khan Schmitt and ilKhan Pryde. I wish for there to be no... miscommunication from the Scorpions' end."
After a few moments, the communications officer looked up at Galaxy Commander Johns, and nodded sharply. They were ready to begin.
"Galaxy Commander Labov, let us set the record straight. I have come to Roche and issued a Trial of Possession for Roche, in its entirety, and have issued the forces I intend to use for the batchall. You have responded by refusing the Trial of Possession, and informed me that you intend to defend yourselves with everything at your disposal. You do not have the authority to deny a Trial of Possession. You have the option to offer a counterbid, however, using what forces you have at your disposal against what I have brought with me to fight the Trial. If you wish to offer a counterbid at this time, I will hear of it and respond accordingly. If you do not, and insist on hiding behind illegal refusals to accept a lawful Trial of Possession, then your bid of 'everything at your disposal' will be accepted and we will commence the Trial of Possession accordingly. Respond."
Galaxy Commander Lobov looked to his left at the man wearing the cloak, "We have no options Sir, we cant run until we are ready, it is time."
"Yes, Galaxy commander this is what we have been talking about all along, look how they throw honor to the winds. I hunger for days past."
With those words a bony hand reached for a keyboard, typing a series of keys brought up a computer voice and text on the screen, "Would you like to play a game?"
Around the world of Roche, fighters and dropships began to burn for the dezgra Spirits fleet, along with a deadly weapon.

Since i targeted the ASF and warship group, its only fair the 22FP damage be divided equally between them proportionally:
Total CBS ASF/Warship FP; 68FP
ASF: 19FP or 28% (19FP/68FP) = 6.25FP Damage
Warships: 49FP or 72% (49FP/68FP) = 18.75FP Damage
That ok with you?
It looks like 3 warships failed their survival rolls... don't forget to deduct those warships' base FP before you split up the unallocated damage.
Base Warship FP: 15.75
Kimagure 8.25 FP
Lola I 3.25 FP
Lola III 4.25 FP
22-15.75=6.25 FP
6.25*28%= 1.75
6.25*72%= 4.5FP
so Red Wings = 17.25 FP
Warships = 20.75 FP
So 38 FP

Question: The rules for Nuclear Weapons state that when used on Warships, each token used force a
Single warship to make a survival check. The Scorps declared they were firing on 3 ships, not 2 Naval Stars. Shouldn't the Scorps declare which ships they are targeting? Also, it says
any of the following effects, not any two. Was the intention to do Damage or force Survival Rolls? The wording on the last one does indicate though that damage is done as well, is this a secondary effect specifically for warships?
QuoteTokens may be spent to achieve any of the following effects:
Inflict 2d6 FP of damage on an enemy force before simple resolution results are applied
Use one nuclear weapon in MegaMek combat
Attack an enemy hex element (as per the "Sabotage Hex Element" intelligence mission)
Force a single WarShip to make a survival roll; if the roll fails the ship is destroyed even if not enough FP damage was inflicted to sink it.

Thats what i was using them for.
That being said, why are we making WarShip survival rolls before that damage is applied? I'm not too clear on how this works, so I want to make sure that we're not doing something unnecessary here.
7 Valor saves the day: reduce damage done to you by 20%, increase damage done to your opponent by 15%.
9 Encircle and capture 20% of opponent, add that FU to salvage.
I had a 5 so that on the even table is 45% of FP adding 15% to that is 60% of FP as damage.
You had a 3 thats 35% subtracting 20% = 15% of your FP done as damage to my force.
30FP * 15%= 4.5FP in damage.
38FP *60% = 22.8 (Rounds to 22.75FP)
Also 20% of the force is captured If this is 20% of your 30FP force that is 6 FP.
So my force stands at 38-4.5FP = 33.5FP (and I owe you another round of Warship survival Rolls.
Your force stands at 30-22.75-6= 1.25 FP
Seem right to everyone?
Tassa the nukes happen before simple resolution. The damage is applied.
We lost 22 FP of force before they could fight.
Since it targetted a force with warships those warships had to do the damage roll.
I already asked josh and dave wether those nukes had to target individual warships. They don't, its nuker's choice wether they target individual warships or just do the 2d6 damage.
Forces hit with the 2d6 damage still follow the warship survival rules as normal damage.
:-) It's why its taken so long to get back to this thread and I apologize for that thanks for bringing it up though fate and tassa.

CBS 38 FP
CGS 30 FP

CGS Roll: 3 - 35%

Valor saves the day: reduce damage taken by 20%, increase damage by 15%
Before Damage is resolved
CGS 30 - 20% (6 FP added to Salvage) = 24 FP
CBS does 50% + 15% = 65%
CGB does 35% - 20% = 15%
CBS deals 38 * .65 = 24.75 FP in Damage
CGS deals 24 * .15 = 3.5 FP in Damage
CBS has 38 -3.5 FP remaining
CGS forces are Destroyed. No ASF's to flee to planet.
CBS gains 2.5 FP in Damage Control
Space Salvage Pool is 49.5 * (2D6+15)% + (6FP in captured forces)

[As Fate pointed out to me, its 56FP of Scorpions left and just for FYI, ASF cannot blockade without warships.]
56FP - 4FP = 52FP left
The hex is now contested, between the Spirits and Scorpions.
Salvage pool:
30 (CGS ASF) + 4.50 (CBS ASF) + 22 (CBS Warships via nukes) + 38 (Bombarded Scorpions) = 94.5FP [Not sure is bombarded or nukes FP is discounted]
Battlefield Repair = 68FP * 10% = 6.8 or 6.75FP
Ending Scorpion Values:
31st Scorpion Battle Cluster R/R 11.5FP - 10FP (Damage) + 2FP (Battlefield Salvage) = 3.50FP
4th Scorpion Assault Cluster R/R 15.00FP - 10FP (Damage) + + 2FP (Battlefield Salvage) = 7.00FP
38th Scorpion Battle Cluster G/R 12.00FP - 5FP (Damage) = 7.00FP

5th Scorpion Striker Cluster V/R 12.50FP - 2FP (Damage) + 2FP (Battlefield Salvage) = 11.50FP
9th Scorpion Dragoons Cluster E/R 8.00FP - 2FP (Damage) + .75FP (Battlefield Salvage) = 6.75FP

How do you want to do the Ground Battle that will happen next turn? All one big battle?
Can I also do the Warship Salvage Rolls? Or do I have to wait until we finish this out next turn?
[Not sure how for now, since invasion of a clan world is weird. I would roll the warships just to keep everything orderly. Errr is 10% not 20% as i stated, also its your damage taken.]
