The Dark has the initiative.
Kommandant Tomisawa of the Flitvet Training BN, knew the men at the table extensively. They'd been his guests at the academy and were not the last chance to hold off the burning of core of the Flitvelt Coalition. New Avalon had promised to send help, but they expected more, sooner. All of the men here had more brass on their collar then he did, but none more so then Kev Evans, a gruff man who was waiting for an answer of his admiral. "You know as well as I do Jamie that if your boys go up there to try and stop them in orbit, it's a suicide run." Rear Admiral Doucette "It's the only way to gaurantee we have the time General, If they try to break thru, we may be able to hobble them, if they go for us direct, then you'll have the time you need." Evans leaned on Maj General Josephus's shoulder. "What to you think Ed?" the other General tilted his head as a soured expression was put on his face. "Most of the unit's strength is in our tanks, but we just won't be ready in time." Evans looked at Doucette, "Do what you have to, nothing more, when you've done that, get your arse back here! That's an order."

The Dark smash through the inderdicting forces and continue their run to the planet. What forces are on the planet to defend.
Listening in on battle above Kommandant Tomisawa's heart dropped a little in his chest. From what he heard they were following their plan, but the Luck of the Fox was not with them. They circumvented the fighters with a burst of speed and made for the drive plumes of the rear jumpships, but the odds were too stacked against them, the Clanner Dropships were bristling with weapons that could fire nearly any arch. Then came the bad news. "Tango Yankee, Tango Yankee, This is X-Ray actual, Alpha is down, I repeat Alpha is down...Aaaaghhh!" and the last few symbols of the 17th's Air Cover dissapeared. Kommandant Tomisawa called out to the comms officer, "Tell the General and the Marquess to expect company." Tomisawa turned to go prepare his own troops who were only cadets and trainers in one of the few outback planets that had a static defense core.

CO: Kommandant Asumi Tomisawa
General Evans was a thurough man. Asumi's mind was still going over the notes as he pushed the old Marauder forward. Most of the Training Mechs were antiques, but with the cadet's supporting the cadre, they stood a chance. There were exactly eight cadets per mech, the best of the best had been chosen to stand off against the dark. The kids had even adapted an old fight song for the situation, while less then encouraging in lyrics, it was doing wonders for moral, he had the volume turned down, but he could still hear the cadets singing over the whine of old servos pressed to their maximum capacity as he moved...
"We hear the jags are coming,
They're flying over hea-ed,
They've come to make some wounded
They've come to make us dea-ed,
Men at wa-a-a-a-ar, Hua!
Men at Wa-a-a-a-ar, Hua!
Late at night when your sleeping,
The Da-ark comes a creepin all aro-o-o-ound,
creepin all around.
I went to wake my Hauptman,
I went up to his be-ed,
But when I went to wake him,
I found that he was dea-ed,
Men at wa-a-a-a-ar, Hua!..."
Asumi was trying to mauver thru some rough terrain when the battle line squacked to life. He quickly flipped the volume off on the kids fight song. "This is Badger." The commincations officer was excited. "Sir, General Evans sent word, there are more forces showing up. They recieved a fax that the re-inforcements had arrived. Asumi was thrilled, but even if they were at the jump point now, they still had to hold off until they landed...

Kommandant Tomisawa had heard about Clan mechs, seen the vids of them, even saw them on parade display, but he'd never seen them in action before. General Evan's people did the best they could despite being outnumbered severely. "Badger! They're shifting their line! Oh no! It looks like they're headed for the HPG! Move your arse now!." Asumi gave the orders, orders he knew would not end well. A dust cloud hiding the approach of Dark mechs filled the sky. Firing blindly into the cloud, Tomisawa could see glints were his PPCs were hitting, but soon enough, the mechs pushed thru right for them on their way to their target. Ozone from overloaded firing circuitry filled his nostrils as his mech got rocked. Responsing to the attack by the Uller, he tried to target it, but the thing was so fast. He led it by thirty meters and fired and was rewarded when the mech's leg faltered and stumbled. A new target came out of the cloud of darkness and a Ryuken came at him Lasers blazing. Other shapes emerged from the cloud and began swalling his recruits. He didn't have time to greive, he was in a battle for his own life. The second his PPC's charged he fired, it became sweltering in his cockpit, but he could still see the shots both nail the Ryoken in the upper right torso, knocking off the arm as the birdlike mech piroutted backwards and was about to fall down. "Come on! Recharge!" Suddenly like a bull in a rodeo, he saw a Cauldron Born coming striaght at him, the mech was pristine, the trail of shells walked up his mech and the last thing Asumi saw were the shells breaching his cockpit...
The Dark overpower the brave FS defenders and then charge into the HPG compound. As they enter the station, it disappears in a huge mushroom cloud - the radiation emanating from the blast site leaves no question about exactly how the station (and the surrounding city) was destroyed.

Yes.
Roger that Little, please mark complete as there isn't anything further that can be done until the Dark Stain is removed from Flitvelt. Hex is contentested, we'll focus on the Dark and come back for the salvage later.

Just needs to be marked complete
