"Former Goliath Scorpions, now treasonous scum! Hear me and despair! I am Galaxy Commander Rose, I am here to take away your planet. Will you resist our just claim or will you show wisdom and surrender?"

"This Star Commander Hendric of Clan Goliath Scorpion, i have been made aware of the goings on in the Home worlds and Grand Council decree upon my wayward brethren, so i fail to see how you have any right to call us treasonous and demand this planet from us. We are not in the Home worlds or have any traitorous elements on this world, so by what right do you have to claim this world from us?"
"First of all, you forget that we are Clan. Our warrior's might make the right. Secondly, you are in the Deep Periphery for all it counts. Thirdly, your word does not count. If we find out that you are free of guilt once we have bested you, then those can be Warriors once again or serve their purpose in any other honorable position. If we see that you lied, which is increasingly common in several Clans these days, then you will pay the price. Just trusting you is out of the question, sadly." Rose seemed to enjoy this and several of her Officers listened to her words with mixed emotions. All were proud of her and would follow her to death, for she was the first Galaxy Commander of a Flurry Galaxy.
(The world of Manaringaine is on the Inner Sphere map, it predates the inclusion of the deep periphery map by many turns; see turn >27 turn maps.)
OP: For all intents, it was on the DP AND the IS Map. It will not change my mind on the attack though. ;)
What is your next step?
( I know it wont, just want to get the story straight is all. Respond pending GM approval.)
OOC: Historically, this system has been on the IS map. However, at the same time it is certain inside the periphery and not the Inner Sphere proper. It is a roleplaying decision as to whether or not you exploit the gray area in the edicts regarding the periphery to justify trialing for this world.

Treacherous Scorpion scum, you don not deserve it but clan law demands the batchall.
clan Wolf challenges you for this world, with what forces do you defend?
Init, true. [blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 5, 2, total 7[/blockquote]
Seems the Hellions have beaten you in terms of speed, WOlves. Scorps, time to conclude this, no?
Whats your next action?
"I was not aware you had been made the inquisitors by the Grand Council Hellions, the Clan to weigh an individuals involvement against the scales of justice. If this is the case could you please forward the Grand Council decree to me, for it seems i do not have it."
"As for you might making right, have we entered a time paradox where your warriors are nothing more than jokes?"
"I have received no Grand Council decree, as I am no Khan nor Loremaster. But in any case they will deal with the issue when we are done here." She spoke to her side: "Prepare the drop now!" Then she came back: "You have obviously not had time to pay attention, Traitor. I guess you were too busy gathering resources to find some artifacts somewhere and drinking some drugs, quiaff? The might of the Hellion Clan is just descending upon you.
Anyway, you sealed your fate, being unable to even resemble a warrior, instead you whine and try to insult me when you should have taken a more cautious approach. I will think about making you my personal bondsman if you survive. Prepare yourself, surat!"
The Hellions proceed to land in force. One group goes in first.
[I am guessing this has moved over to invasion?]
Ah. Yes.
Bump
"Hellions, you are in violation of our traditions and the ilkhans decree to end all trials; if you chose to attack our holdings, you will show just how far from tha path of honor you have fallen."
Defenders are 1FP of militia.
Damage:
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 1, 1, total 2[/blockquote]
[Wow so that makes, 4 3s and a 2 this turn!]
1st Flurry Cluster attacks with 4.25 FP. This is the section that spearheaded, so no arbitrary breakup.
It should be more than enough of course.
Over 3:1 odds
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 2, 4, total 6[/blockquote]
And the crit roll against the poor Scorpions:
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 2, 6, total 8[/blockquote]
Solahmas are gone, they do .1 FP damage and I got a crit (my first ever)
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 1, 2, total 3[/blockquote]
Damage reduction to -5 %. :P
Salvage pool at 1 FP.
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6+15 : 3, 1 + 15, total 19[/blockquote]
.19 are going to be rounded to .25 FP? Thats that, I guess.
The Ice Hellions claim the planet. Do the Wolves want to challenge that?
IP: Galaxy Commander Rose oversaw the battlefield with a pleased look. Those traitors in their age old Mechs had been no challenge to her warriors. Nova Captain Kyle would receive a recommendation for keeping his forces nearly untouched. Of course, the battle was lopsided due to the numbers, but well, they were flurries, no one should expect them to fight fair. Just for the Clan's prospering.
She wondered if the enemy commander was alive or committed bondsref to save his last remnants of dignity?

No
Excellent.
Rounding up of the offenders is being done as in the Homeworlds with the Mandrills.
Perhaps they can tell us something the remaining Scorps are not.
