Great X finally saw a real invasion, not the one that was aborted only months ago. What would it bring?
Zenith and Nadir were bursting with IR and Warships and JumpShips appeared out of nowhere!
"People of Great X, this is Loremaster Philippe Lienet. Fear nothing for we have come to free you from selfish lordship, that you may prosper. All units that stand and are able to think: surrender, and you will not be harmed. Failure to comply will result in swift and deadly action!"
Khan and saKhan were not present on his bridge but both thought their own on his speech. He was truly somewhat different.
OO
Any blockade orders? Because I've got guys here making a run for it, too.
If it's just A-R here, you're facing militia. Any SLDF defenders that may be present, I don't know about.
OP: no blockade, but I think if no Aerospace is there, then there might be an offensive interdiction. Gotta see, though, last turn there were Davy units here with Aero. :)
Bump for "SLDF" units? Are there any?
Init needed, perhaps? If nothing is here, then this will be over quickly, of course.
There are Rim aerospace forces escorting the Rim ground troops trying to bust out. You going to let me go, or should I roll initiative?
I am inclined to let you go. But with many curses following you.
Init would be interesting for the other guys. Because last turn, there were Feddies here. :P
Bump for SLDF: Fatebringer/NVA. Do you have forces here?
No Fedsun SLDF assets present.
No SLDF forces
"Great X defenders, whoever you might be, the people of the worlds we liberated can live on in peace now. Spare yourselves certain death and join. This is the only warning you will receive anymore. In case you want to throw your lives away, we will oblige."
A big force of Dropships, accompanied by Fighter Screens and several Warships make to the ground. The other force, though, seems to be leaving...
A force of Delta Galaxy, probably the 3rd Assault Cluster, moved somewhat faster than the rest. They seemed to want the kill. (3 FP of very heavy OmniMechs will take the field) Surrender still possible.
Bumpy. I say the Militia shall surrender and spare their lives.
Militia Defense roll:
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 3, 6, total 9[/blockquote]
The Militia will be dispatched as will the local HPG station by another Cluster's elements. Scouts go first, the others build a cordon to prevent escapees.
Against Militia:
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 4, 6, total 10[/blockquote]
If Crit: [blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 5, 1, total 6[/blockquote]
No Crit. August, please check yours.
Crit check:
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 6, 4, total 10[/blockquote]
Which makes for two crits, I believe.
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 6, 5, total 11[/blockquote]
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 4, 3, total 7[/blockquote]
So let's see if I do this correctly.
Attackers deal 85% of FP their 3 FP = 2.55 FP in damage. Reduced 20% by A-R crit to approximately 2 FP.
Defenders deal 60% of 1 FP, + 20% from crit and doubled. 1.42 FP in damage.
Hellions win.
The 3rd Assault's Mechs are heavily mauled by the Militia, whose commander seems to be a genius while the 3rd's Units are slow and lumbering. It shows that the Ice Hellions fare better with their faster Mechs.
If the Commander of the Militia can be catched, the Loremaster will want to talk to him.
2.5 FP left salvageable.
[blockquote]Rolled 2d6+15 : 3, 2 + 15, total 20[/blockquote] roll for it:
.5 FP salvaged.
A bad day for the 3rd Assault.
Militia is checked for Blood. The HPG will be dispatched like everywhere else. But I guess they left already..
After Watch agents notice a discrepancy in the HPG station's work logs relative to the number of staff captured (sadly, not fast enough to prevent the sabotage of the HPG), a hidden underground shelter is discovered within which hide a Demi-Precentor and two Adepts. All three of them have The Blood.
Can they be captured alive? (I assume, but checking)
The Demi tried to commit suicide, but an elemental tackled her and pinned her to the ground before she could pull the pin on her grenade. All three were captured alive.
Let's hope that brave Elemental did not get infected, eh?
A Commemmoration is in order. The 3 fellas are transported offworld for .. talks. Elswhere.
