votes: 5
Option 2: No
votes: 5
Option 3: Abstain
votes: 1
Specific Proposal:
Each occupying allied power (the nine factions controlling prefectures) will receive a tax payment equal to 5% of the Protectorate's net income after infrastructure expenses. The other allies (factions not directly controlling a prefecture) will receive a tax payment equal to 1% of the Protectorate's net income after infrastructrue expenses.
A simply majority is required to pass the measure; abstentions will not be counted towards the total.
Each allied power is entitled one vote and must post their vote (along with any accompanying remarks) as a reply once they have voted.
In the event of a discrepancy between the vote tally and the verbal responses, the record of verbal responses will prevail.
OOC Note: Multiple votes were enabled to allow the RD and SHAFT to both register votes. Players are only allowed one vote in accord with the details of the measure.

After observing the events in relative silence, Captain General Corrine Marik placed her vote on the current measure including the following comment.
"The majority of these worlds suffered harshly under their occupation, and regardless of the outcome, the Free Worlds League will do what it can to support the rebuilding and improvement of the quality of life for our citizens on the aforementioned planets. It is our responsibility to do as such for those that have suffered beneath the Blakist occupation. If any of these worlds wish to rejoin the Free Worlds League, Parliament stands ready to welcome their brothers and sisters into the rightful places within the League proper."
The Jade Falcons vote Aff.
As a simple majority was not reached, the taxation measure fails to pass. SHAFT will continue to administer the revenue and income of the Word of Blake Protectorate on behalf of its citizens.
