FSS Nahoni- Tramp Class Jumpship
A wave bounced off the starboard side of the vessel buffering against the entire jump ship. "God Damnit!" Sparks appeared on the deck then halon to repress the embers before they expanded to full fledged fires. "Masks on! Report!"
"Commodore Godwin, we had a near misjump. The ships banged up and we won't know the full status of the damages for at least 2 hours but..." The man looked towards the bulkhead at the viewport. "The Marie Claire, she's gone. She must have been knocked lose in the jump, the entire docking collar was ripped off."
Nathaniel took a seconds respite to coordinate his thought in the din. Did he risk it all now, should he shove off and try another target, or simply head home in complete failure. "Tell the crew to make repairs." He thought to himself. No sense making plans before he had to. They weren't ready to leave with that much structural integrity loss. "Sweep the sector, maybe we can find out something useful while we're here."
[50% of the force dissapears into the void.... Staying to engage defenders or leaving?]
[I was looking for that in the raid chart. So many things in the new rules aren't posted like the old rules so I can't find the part that showed the losses, but I knew it was there. Anywho, as this is a hostile movement as well, you have the choice to engage the remaining 7 FP since the Pirate Insertion failed. If you don't engage, I'll make the decision, but you have first dibs.]

[As stated, I understood, and it's your call.]
"Star Colonel! Multiple Emergence waves picked up on our deep space radar. I count 3, no 2 contacts."
"Launch the ready-fives and prepair to engage!"
"Contacts IFF squacking FSN, sir."
[2nd Stingray Garrison ASF Cluster Transported Aero Transported Regular Reliable 29FP Will engage.]
{Just wanted to post it in case its needed in the future, its hidden in page 1 of the rules near the bottom.}
"Sir they're closing. I'm counting almost 100 fighters out there."
"and the ship?"
"...is not going to be ready."
"So be it. Launch fighters. Tell the boys to get ready for a dogfight.."
Will we be playing this one out or Simple Res?
[Wouldn't mind having it played out if anyone volunteers.]
"AFFS forces this is Star Colonel Faulk commander of Attenbrooks naval defenders, you are severly outnumbered and outgun. Stand down and you will be reprimanded to Draconis Combine space, minus a ransom fee of course."
The view out of the front port told Godwin the whole story. The orderly paired fighters moving fluidly in a five by five formations as nearly a dozen such formations moved to a secure overwatch position. They moved slowly, purposely towards the Nahoni. All Godwin could think about was how his men were coughing on the harsh fumes of mixed chemicals as they battled the fires. The Sharks were offering a way out, or so it seemed. The unspoken rule of warfare was that if your ruler couldn't pay to get you back, you became a slave. So the question that kept coming back to him was, would they pay? They Sharks were known to be merchants, merchants could be relied on to keep their word for money... "All forces, this is Commander Godwin. Stand down and return to the ship. Prepare to recieve our...guests."
Godwin sat back in his chair wondering. Is this what happened to the Alexander Davion?
The Federated Suns forces Surrender to the Diamond Sharks.
"You have made a wise move Commander, my forces will escort you to Attenbrook station. Once there you will be allowed limited use of its facilities, after your marines are disarmed of course, fighters must stay in their berths for the remainder of your stay here."
"We will comply to the best of our ability. The fighters, Battle Armor and Weapons will be left in the racks, but as prisoners of war we would like to request medical treatment aboard the ship for those that need it. We had a misjump and the medical bay is overflowing with wounded."
