Star Commodore Vincent was pleased with his crew. The newly built CSRS Cairo and her sister ship, CSRS Carthage, had slipped their moorings at the shipyards above Sudeten only 8 days ago. After a week of trials in space to ensure all systems were go(with only a few minor glitches in the system, easily fixed), the two ships were fully combat ready. After a quick refit back at the orbital docks, they had tested the final system: the K-F drive.

The successful jump had placed them at the Nadir jump point at Blair Atholl's sun. The Snow Raven fleet had escorted the three ships(a single Scout-class Jumpship had accompanied the two warships to ferry the crews back to Sudeten) were allowed into the Raven's defensive perimeter.

"Communications, open a channel to the Raven orbital dockyard. I'm sure the Ravens are eager to get settled aboard their vessels."

After a few moments, the view screen opened, showing a Snow Raven officer.

"Greetings from the CSRS Cairo. Your ships are ready to receive their crews. We've completed our trials and all systems check out within operational limits. We have a complete report on her performance, and the trials have been stored in the databanks for review at your leisure. The Carthage aswell is fit for operation. We shall await your crews to turn over command of your vessels once you arrive."

Galaxy Commander Joel Thastus felt the sudden acceleration of the ship around him. Obviously, the fleet had arrived at their destination. He quickly made his way to the bridge of his Overlord-C dropship, and was surverying the sensor returns being feed in by the jumpship and the rest of the fleet.

"Comunications, open a channel to the Snow Raven commander."

"Yes Galaxy Commander. Channel open and secure."
Joel Thastus looked into the monitor and saw his counterpart, the Star Captain in a Raven uniform. He couldn't for the life of him remember the man's name though.

"Greetings Star Captin. I trust all fleet elements sucessfully made transit? I have just recieved word that the recon units sent here were chased off by a regiment of Lyran aerospace fighters of unknown strength or composition. I would sugest we get the blockade underway quickly before they catch us unawares."

The Raven Star Captain nodded and the connection cut. Thastus hit a button that would relay his message across all dropships across the Jade Falcon transport fleet.
"Warriors of Clan Jade Falcon, we have arrived at A Place, and are deploying the navy to cover our drop. Prepare your battlemechs and aerospace fighters, and be ready to drop as soon as the word is given that the skies are clear. Galaxy Commander Joel Thastus, out."

With that, Joel himself returned to his mech's cubicle and began running the nessicary diagnostics in preparation for taking the fight once again to the Lyrans.

((OOC- as the title says, this is specifficlly for the Trial of Refusal the Steel Vipers started. For those who need a reminder, the vote being refused was that the Fire Mandrill offshoot calling itself 'Clan Camel' was to be offically recognized as Clan Camel. Also, it would be protected from ALL Trials of Possession, untill the Grand Council decided otherwise.))

Diana nodded, knowing full well it was coming as soon as the Viper Khan had spoken so vehemently against the vote. As she looked at the voting tallys to ascertain the odds against in the coming trial, she was reminded of a similar Trial of Refusal, where 3 warriors attempted to overturn the Jade Falcon Council. She secretly hoped this Trial did not have a similar outcome.

"Khan Perigard Zalman has issued a Trial of Refusal against the vote in favor of Clan Camel. The odds against are 3:10. Khan Perigard Zalman, with what forces do you intend to use to fight your Trial?"
