Last post by Altrak - June 12, 2015, 09:24:02 AMDuring todays news, the Draconis Combine has announced that it will begin construction of a space station between 'Star's End' and 'The Edge'. This comes with the assignment the FRR and DC have made open the forming of the Special Administrated Zone Oberon (SAZ-O), the newest joint-project of the two nations. The DCs minister of the infrastructural bureau said on the matter:
" It is the will of the Coordinator to further develop the region, for this a advanced infrastructure is needed. Furthermore, the anouncement shall inform our partner nations of the Anti-Amaris Operation, namely the Federated Commonwealth. "
The yet unnamed nation will be within a 30 lightyear jump of 'Stars End', 'The Edge' and the former FRR and FC and now independent world of Icar (hex 2310). Construction will begin in the next three months. Until then, military presence of DCA troops will occur, to protect the construction site.
Mentioned feature of the station is at least a shipyard but detailed plans are kept secret for now. After construction, the station will be added to the special administrated zone.

The current exchange rate is dropping below 1.75 cbills, further falling. Stock market expert Mitchel Thornman described it as a reaction to the Coordinators announcement to send troops into the Clanwar, the founding of the Oberon Zone and the huge paybacks the Combine has to made towards the ISDAB. Furthermore the Pillar of Gold, the DCs financial bureau seems to bring further money to the market to keep the DC market interresting for international investors. Nobody wants to invest in a hard currency after all...
Tragic ensured, some broker in the League seemed to have set on the false horse and murdered himself by jumping out of the window.

Brigadier Hans Gneisenau stopped reading the latest report on his screen and looked up as his aide, one Captain Isabelle Giovanni, entered his office. A rather opulent office, considering his position as Chief of Staff to Marshal Vanessa Bisla, Addicks Command CO. He personally preferred something a little more spartan, but given his current job, and the need to speak to some fairly high ranking visitors on occasion, he had to put up with it.
"Yes Isabelle."
"We have just received word from Formalhaut, Sir. The world is ours again, with the robes putting up no resistance. Nothing at all apparently."
"I see. Ensure Colonel Durnford is informed then that his own operation is now on. We won't wait to get the final go ahead from the Marshal, as she has already notified me that New Avalon, and Tharkad for that matter, has sponsored this. Which no doubt is why the good Colonel also has charge of a couple of hundred civilian specialists as well!"

He looked towards the Periphery representatives before switching to the FWL ones...

When the clans crisis is over and the recent conflicts have been resolved, the Dragon shall look how the FWL will move from there on forwards and if they really have the needed spirit to carry on the thoughts of the ISDF. He then adressed Arthur Yu:
" The Federated Commonwealth has apparently less reasons than the League to join the ISDF and has stated that they are seeing "no future for this organisation". They face no clan thread and we do think that they might have arranged something with the Clan Hells Horses, which should make their appaerance spinwards from the Star Adder occupied zone, be it within or outside of Concordat territory. The Dragon had hoped to get the auxilliar forces to Canopus and Taurus in time, but the galactic distances are far to great and we barely make it in time for the capellan border region. But back to the original thematic... the Commonwealth. I do hope that our ambassador and Mr.Focht will get them to allow at least the movement of troops through their territory or we loose 50% of our strength down there..."

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are so close on this now. If we can convince the Federated Suns of the benefit of joining us, then we stand a chance. Their numbers and our technology would make the ISDF a force for stability."

First Comstar and now these clans... The common IS and periphery civilian has the right to not live under such tyranny. The FRR will do it's part to help avoid that."
