General Mitchel was really missing Old Cannady since his people made that valiant charge. Only the arrival of the Duke and his men prevented him from having to follow for the sake of the realm. Facing death so straight in the face and knowing the unimportance of this world, he would have no problems aborting if for some reason there was a strong Dark Naval presence here. They would find out soon enough if the mighty 2nd would be enough. "Get Captain Donaldson on the scan, we need to know if we're staying." The tech ran off. Despite being so close to pushing the Dark out of their land, the loss of so many at Panpour weighed heavily on the men.

In the dense woods where the Dark were hiding, the BA Star saw the dust trail of the Dark Convoy heading away from them. When night fell, they got in front of them and set up an ambush at Huxley's Pass. Not a single Dark "warrior" made it thru, or off planet.
