Conciousness was a 1d6 roll, but neither die was a 6 or 1. He is concious and has a Broken Jaw.

With both arms broken and his jaw a mess, the effects of the Hell's Horse eugenics program was quite evident as Joshua lay battered. The other's in the circle stood fast, waiting.

The Hell's Horses Elemental (let us call him Ezekiel) crouched low next to the fallen Joshua, his eyes rapidly cataloguing the assortment of injuries that he had inflicted on the smaller man.  Dropping his voice to a low pitch, in order that only Joshua himself could hear, Ezekiel's words came not unkindly.

"Yield, warrior.  You have proven your honor this day.  Do not prove yourself stupid as well.  The Herd has a place for honor, but not for stupidity.  Yield, and your honor will remain intact."

Fatebringer

"You have bested me, True Warrior." The pain was evident on his face but no one moved.

Reaching down to scoop the smaller man up firmly but gently (or as gently as could be managed by an Elemental) by his torso, and led him out of the Circle of Equals to a waiting pair of medical-subcaste technicians.  But before handing him off to the civilian-caste pair, Ezekiel tossed a look over at Joshua and smiled broadly, flashing perfect white teeth.

"Welcome to the Herd, Warrior Joshua."

[Parm, you mind marking this as Complete?]

Fatebringer

Once the Big Elemental declared the trial was over, the others called for the Medtechs to see to Joshua's wellbeing.
