The Alliance formation sent to Timbuktu was rather small compared to the other battlegroups that had been assembled in the past months. However, it was still a strong force, and they were just as determined to take their objectives.
"My only regret is that I will not be alive in .03 seconds. I would have liked to watch the enemy attempt to vent an omnidirectional thermonuclear blast enveloping their outpost."

"Lyran Alliance vessels, you have entered the space of this New Dominion diplomatic world with a sizable battle fleet, please declare your intentions"

((No map updates have been done in a while, this has been a New dominion world for 22 years and was mistakenly updated to a Star Adder World.))

Dave Baughman

"Dominion control, this is the commander of the 24th Lyran Guards speaking. I have been charged to voyage to this system to root out any remaining traces of Clan Star Adder. If any such forces remain in this system, we request leave to evict them in honorable combat."
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Fatebringer

"There are no forces belonging to Clan Star Adder on planet at present and while we do permit honorable trails to be conducted on our world, I do however wonder with what authority you think you have the right to initiate a trail to evict others from one of our worlds?"

Dave Baughman

"To answer your question, Rassie, it is on the authority of the Archon, rightful ruler of all star systems formerly claimed by the Lyran Commonwealth. We will accept your assurance that the Star Adders are gone for today, but I promise you - some day we will be back for our land."

By the time the radio transmission reaches Timbuktu, they are already detecting the jump signature as the Lyran transports depart.
