Melissa had repulsed the original Jade Falcon assault, which served only to have it assigned a larger force. The Falcons were clearly not in the mood for pleasantries, as not a single transmission was sent between the jump point and the planet.

OOC: Due to atrocious behavior by the bot that was running the 2nd JF star (like jumping off 15 level cliffs without jump jets), I'm ruling that this battle doesn't include the forces of the 25th Talon Cluster.

Sending their less prestigious units to engage the Hellions' ground forces, the Jade Falcons moved against Mellisia's main cities with bloodthirsty abandon. Unfortunately, while they were "cleansing" defenseless civilians and lightly armed paramilitary police, their auxiliaries were being massacred wholesale by the warriors of the 3rd Honorguard and 350th Firebrand clusters. When reinforcements finally arrived, they found almost no survivors - the Hellions had taken the time to exact a measure of revenge for Malibu by wiping out every warrior they could run down.

amusingly, the odds are more or less the same as before. Falcons will press the attack in op round 2, so this one is still open if anyone wants to play the 2nd round.

Thanks to the sacrifice of the Ice Hellion MechWarriors, 122,653 lower caste members were able to be evacuated before the Jade Falcons overran the spaceports.
