Somehwere in the IS
Bel-wondo company lab (2 man startup company)

It had been exhausting  three weeks for Stephen  and Azuki. They had spent sixteen to twenty hours a day in the lab, eating pizza and drinking coffee during work and basically falling onto a pair of mattresses if they did not make it home.
At some point work had become free time and free time has become what they would call... sleep.

But they knew that they were close, very close.
The piece of technology they had envisioned would alter the field of strategy in the Inner Sphere... if they got it to work, that was.

And so far, every time they thought the solution was near they had run into a new bump in the road.

Rent was due... and the account was empty.
Bills for power and water were stacking and their food had become even more sparse over the last weeks.
Even sex had stopped...
If they did not get it done soon, they'd never get it done.

Then, one night, Azuki got up, unable to sleep and worrying about her future.
She looked down on Stephen and suddenly her eyes widened.
Running to a drawer where they had stored the old scematics she was doing the first calculations in her head.
It had not been the software! They had a hardware bug!
Browsing through the components blueprints it was painfully obvious... They had made a mistake!
