A sole JumpShip, of the small civilian variety, appears in the Hinckley system. A few minutes pass without additional emergence waves, alleviating the fears somewhat of the persons working at the early warning stations and communication center in the Capital that another invasion wasn't about to come to their world.

However the delay imposed by modern physics counters those fears as the stress levels rise as they wait for some form of message...or the Ship to leave in silence, most aren't sure which they'd prefer.

The wait ends when the radio crackles into static, then words, "My name is Lizbin, Prior Lizbin of the Circles of the Last Blood. I wish to address the leadership of Hinckley regarding their future and the future of the Star Adder Commonwealth States. Permission to land and meet with the head of the planetary government?"

And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

"Prior Lizbin, this is the commander of the Hinckley militia. We've seen a lot of changes to our flag over the last year, and we don't want another one. You may recharge your drives in peace, but tell Charlie Steiner that we aren't interested in joining his new so-called Commonwealth."

"It is not his, he is the Holy Caretaker of but a portion of the full Star Adder Commonwealth," the woman's voice reveals she is a true believe of what she says, "I serve, just as he does, the Divine Khan."

"I will deliver your message, and either I or one of my forty-six fellow Priors will return in in the near future to ask again...should you retain your independence so long."

A few days later the JumpShip leaves the system, likely to deliver its passenger to another system with a similar offer....
