"Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori. Crudelius est quam mori semper timere mortem. "

It is sweet and fitting to die for one's country. It is crueller to be always afraid of dying than to die.

Khan Allison Sonoma nodded to herself.

"Very well Commander."

One inch. Reach. Pull. Another inch. Reach. Pull. Colonel Singh dragged himself out of the ruined cockpit of his Battlemaster, his field of vision blurry with tears and acrid smoke. The greasy smears of burning war machines blotted out the horizon as he surveyed the remains of the last 6th Tamar Cavaliers.

"Et in perpetuum, frater, ave et vale." And into eternity, brother, hail and farewell. Singh wheezed from ruined lungs. He slowly pulled a grenade from his vest and pulled the pin. Swallowed it. As darkness crept into his field of vision, he rolled the grenade beneath him, using his body's mass to keep the safety lever locked as one last surprise. For Tamar!

4+15= 19% Salvagable

19% of 27.5 = 5.225 -> 5.5FP Salvaged from the battlefields

Khan Allison Sonoma was reviewing reports in a modular habitat that was serving as her temporary HQ untill they had swept the former Lyran compound for any more suprises. 2 Medtechs had been killed trying to identify the body of Colonel Singh, his having apparently swallowed an explosive device to booby trap his own body. Such a waste. Too bad, as the Khan had thought him honorable for facing such odds on principal. The salvageable material on the battlefield had allowed the majority of her forces to walk away relativly unscathed, although the aerospace forces had lost a handfull of Omnifighters that were simply too far gone to do anything about.

She winced as a technician droped a heavy com unit. She was preparing to adress the Grand Council, via the orbiting fleet, and had ordered a hardline to the landed dropships, instead of risking the Lyran military compound untill she was satisfied it was clear. She had to make this a quick appearance, as her Galaxy Commanders and Star Colonels were coming in 2 hours to discuss the next stage of their campaign in the Inner Sphere.

What zealots, Star Commodore Raphael thought. The fighters of his had been assigned rearguard for this battle and the Wolf and Falcon fighter-groups had made quick work of the Lyrans. However, once on the ground there were instances of booby trapped casualties. More likely of the Terrans, he thought.

Anyway, it was a victory. He just would have hoped he could have fight again and with his Clan.

OOC - Great work handling this without GM intervention guys, I am very impressed.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
