The stars bent in and then space reasserted itself with a thermal plume, leaving two needle-shapes floating in the darkness.

"Attention Star adder occupiers of the world of Howick, I am Leutenant Christie of the Union of Independent Worlds Navy, on orders to challenge you for the possession of this system, that you may be freed up to go fight the Terrans instead of being stuck out here in the back end of beyond in our neighbourhood.  So, I must ask you, with what do you defend your possession of this star system?"

Divided evenly, this leaves...

.0075 to the UIW (all UIW FP was destroyed in the trial)

and

.75+.0075=.7515 FP to CSA.  

Results/outcome are based on the first die-roll.  Since it was deadline day, I went ahead and just dropped blocs of six rolls each here and on the Millerton thread for efficiency's sake-but the first roll was all that was required to decide this contest in favour of the Star Adders on straight attrition.
