The one Clan Snow Raven Cluster on planet prepared to engage the Degraza Scientist Galaxy discovered in the old Wolf sector. Now in grasp of their allies the Blood Spirits, but had offfered the others the chance to join them for glory. An invitation had been sent to the Blood Spirits, Steel Vipers and Wolves in system, to join the Ravens on their hunt, but the arrival of three massive forms at the jump point made their assistance appreciated. High above, Star Admiral Asif Cole ordered the 43rd Tactical Air Wing into action once more, leading the other Wings forth. As they moved into the bled, a few dozen dropships followed as an "anomily" of the Clan made for high orbit.

Three months ago Valryvn Keshik had embarked to Circe for their first opportunity to see combat as the second Keshik Clan Snow Raven has ever fielded. Their mission was highly important and they would forever be judged by their performance on this, their maiden engagement. They knew the ememy was carrying special equipment that was designed for the Warrior Caste to use, but never distributed. The new Keshik themselves were not using the standard Raven fare for it was the first Keshik and only Assault unit in the Clan's Touman. The bulk of the forces were Dire Wolves, Turkinas and Blood Asps bartered to the Clan along with territory, when the other Clan forces were desperately seeking Raven's jumpships to get their forces to the Inner Sphere. Supporting the mechs were the heavy duty Gnome battle armor suits and Shoden Assault Tanks. For nearly a year the unit trained on Lum while Omega and Gamma Galaxies were sent out to deal with the issues that arose, but the time for action was now.

Supported by the Tactical Air wings of the Naval Star overhead, and Valryvn Keshik, Kappa Galaxy's 2nd Raven Garrison Cluster who knew every nook and cranny of the world along with mechs and elementals fast enough to act as scouts, secured the dropship landing site close to the Blood Spirit's zone. The lead Overlord began to broadcast. "Vipers! Spirits and Wolves! The Snow Raven flocks to battle! Aide us or get out of our way! I Klaus Harper, Loremaster of Clan Snow Raven, grant anyone who feels the need to leave in the face of such a necessary battle, Safcon. Let your honor rest in breast of your actions, but to Clan Blood Spirit, I seek Safcon to go hunting those that have strayed!"

A reply from the Blood Spirit enclave was made after a period of silence.

"You seek our assistance, Raven, but you could not be bothered to assist us against the same traitorous scum on Roche.  For that, you may consider our friendship destroyed.  Now, when you present solid evidence that there is in fact a Galaxy of traitors within our territory, you will be granted safcon to conduct your bug hunt.  If you do not present such evidence, we will consider you in violation of our enclave, and you will be dealt with accordingly.  We await your response."

The on-world Blood Spirit forces, still champing at the bit from the Trials against the fallen Clan Wolf, began taking up defensive positions.

Hearing the response, the forces of Clan Wolf move forward to take a position on one flank of the Ravens.  No transmission was heard.

The Wolf forces lifted quickly.  They could not be sure the offer of SafCon would not be ripped away.  The sent a tight transmission to the Snow Ravens.

"The actions of your clan have necessitated our departure.  We wish you well in your hunt.  However, we cannot ignore the auspicious actions at Tamar by forces under your clans command.  Sad that the Blood Spirits seem to have the measure of your clan now, given their weaknesses."

The dropships continued their boost and docked with their jumpships, watching for any indication of treachery on the part of the assembled fleets.

OOC - Helps if I read my orders.  Guess I did move them

Klaus Harper sent a transmission and by the time the Wolf Dropships reached their jump ships, the path to the Nadir Jump Point had been cleared for their departure with one message sent directly to the Wolves.

QuoteThe Wolves as we knew them were valiant warriors, worthy of the Founder's Heritage. The events of Tamar were unfortunate but ultimately the result of your own Clan's actions. Surely one did not need the vision of the Spirit Cats to see what was coming.

Those of the Grand Council have declared the Abjured Wolves claim to the hallowed Kerensky name forfeight and with no knowledge of their actual locations of the Founder's Legacies, are already issuing batchalls to claim what the Degraze Scientists have Stolen.

Are the giftakes here on Circe? I do not know. However by leaving, you shall never know.

Returned to the Ravens is the following.

"The Founder was not flawless.  The evidence is clear.  That you refuse to acknowledge it is your blindness, not ours.  And, your clan had a chance to lead at Tamar, instead, you followed the Star Adders, as all the other clans do.  It appears that there is now only one clan, the Star Adders, and their many minions.  We will see you on the field of battle again.  You, yourself, have brought honor upon yourself.  Perhaps, you can change the course of your clan from the dark one it is on now."

With that, the jumpships prepared to jump.

OOC - If anyone else plans to stop us, so be it.  However, we are jumping otherwise.

"I am a Clan Loremaster and Master of the Watch. I know things about the days of our Founding that an Abjured Star Colonel relegated to Garrison duty, will never know. You question the path forged by the Founder? You criticize all of the Founders? Our way of life? No matter what obstacles were in the path that forged us, we are Clan. The strong lead. For centuries the Wolves proved to be strong and they led, imbued with the genes imparted to them from the Founder. Neg, after so many centuries, what we are now is not what the Founder made us. It is what we have made of ourselves by following the guidance of the strongest. To criticize our ways, is to criticize yourselves. Study hard the history of any Leader and soon you will see flaws, no matter if they are there or not.

The Wolves seem to have forgotten something. As Clan, one must always prove their worth in everything you do. Your Clans hated for the Adders is no more the petty jealousy started they day they bested you and took your place as the strongest of the Clans. After that, others saw that the Wolves could be beaten and tested your mettle. The more you lost, the more enbittered your Warrior Caste became, seeking out more reasons to hate them until the day of your final disgrace.  We respect the stength for what it is. The Adders are not our Masters. Without the Wolves in the Grand Council, if their strength falters, another shall move to the front of the pack. This is the way all Life. This is the way of the Clans."

After another lengthy period of silence, a transmission is sent to the Snow Raven Loremaster directly, from the on-site commander of the Blood Spirits' military forces.

"Your request for safcon is granted.  Do not deviate from your mission parameters or tarry a moment longer than is necessary, or you shall be considered in violation of our territory and will be dealt with accordingly.  That is all."

With that, the Spirits' enclave went quiet, and no further transmissions were made or responded to.

A message from Star Colonel Asif Cole was transferred down to Klaus Harper's Turkina. "Loremaster, the crew of the Alexander Davion report that after losing their challenge to 2nd, the Steel Viper forces rushed out of the System and are no longer present. The Wolves as you know have vacated as well." Klaus closed his eyes for a second calculating the strength of the Raven forces by themselves. "So be it. Forward the go ahead to all Raven Commands. We have been granted Safcon to engage the Darkcaste Scorpions fighting on behalf of the Degraza Scientists. Have R-Teams standing by to evacuate all personnel and equipment from both sides of the battle. Our Friends, have been very specific about how they feel about visitors and seem more then happy to let us take of their problem for them."

After sending the transmission, Klaus issued the rally point for the ground commanders to push forth from. Knowing the enemy had advanced equipment, the key was early detection, which the Air Wings would be able to provide. Unlike most Clan unit's, Valyrvn Keshik also had heavy artillery prompting Klaus to send out a special notation for the 2nd to configure their Onmi's with TAG systems.

Although quite engrossed in the actions of a commander, his mind couldn't a thought from pushing forward from his subconscious. How much of what the Wolf Commander said about the Adder's was true? Did the other Clan's see them as a pawn? The course attitude of the Blood Spirits of late did not denote the previous relationship the Ravens have had with their ally. Only recently had the Blood Spirits ordered their ilChi to abandon her mission to join the Ravens to the Inner Sphere, this only the Raven's verified her presence would be allowed. Do the Spirits believe this nonsense as well? Klaus managed to close the door on these thoughts as he checked his own gauges. There was a job to do. A job that required focus. A job that required a Warrior.

(OOC: Roche Galaxy is not present in this hex. Either the intel was wrong, they somehow evaded your interdiction, or someone fed you false intelligence. I can't say which of course.)
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
