Actual CA cost more to upkeep, a lot more as their FP is calculated on the Warship Upkeep weight scale. In this manner 10 fighters can cost as much to maintain as a whole Cluster. You can "dedicate" fighters to move on the open spaces in the Warships, but that doesn't make them CA.

FS OP 6 Orders - Battle - Jump Point

Not done with it's primary Target, the Dragon Watchers continue to harrass their target the Draconis Rift attempting to sink her.

DC Forces
DCA Draconis Rift (Kyushu) = 23
2nd Fleet Regiment = 8

FS
Dragon Watchers - Patrol Division = 61

The massive Avalon cruiser, having taken a pounding from the pair of Warships, did good by her own rights and issues Transit Orders to leave the system the way it came in.

In an attempt to even the Odds the DC call upon the 1st Fleet for Aero Support instead of the meager reserves of the 2nd.

The Federated Suns call on their (so far) reliable New Ivaarsen Chasseurs for Aero Support.

[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 6, 4, total 10[/blockquote]

Fatebringer

DC: 31 + (61 * .2) = 49
FS: 61 + (31 * .4) = 73

Command & Control breakdown: enemy suffers -1 on operational initiative for the rest of the
Strategic Turn - Irrelavant on Turn 6

Lucky shots result in far more salvage than usual – double this battle's contribution to the
salvage pool.

whoa whoa whoa

hold on there. No way in HELL is the Draconis Rift getting into that fight. You choose Battle orders, I can choose whose doing the fighting.

First off, both the Draconis Rift and Bushido Blade actually have the CA unit improvement, meaning the DC's FP has been 18 higher per ship this entire battle. That would reflect a few extra damage thrown at the FS.

Also, the Bushido Blade would be the warship defending against the Patrol Division: they do NOT get to choose who they're hitting, they just go forewards and meet whoever comes at them.

DC: 82 + (61 * .2) = 94

I'm looking at the DC orders. There is no CA listed for any of your Warships. They all have ST listed as their only Unit Improvement.

I acknowledge that the DC can throw another unit in the way. I apologize for that error. Still working with the rules and trying to get this stuff done.

By my calcs then, these are the forces that would have met.

DC: 64 + (61 * .2) = 76
FS: 61 + (64 * .4) = 87

theres something screwy with the orders then, because my sheet has them stated, and I remember when I re-built the faction they had ST and CA on them...*argh*

well, seeing as how theres an issue there, i'm not going to make any calls on it(its my faction), however, I'm going to look back through the thread, cuz something wasn't adding up to me when i looked at it earlier.

looked through my archived orders, it appears that I left off the CA when I revised my re-build. Annoying, but i don't feel like going through the build process again just to see if I paid for them but forgot to note it.

Roger that, no CA amount was added to the Adj FP Tab either, so it didn't seem to me that these were just missing, all FP amounts were the same across the board.

I can head home and get on Skype. Will be about an hour. Sorry for being a pain here. I know the pain of losing units :( your last second turn around on New Samarkand wasn't fun for me :P

Daemonknight

I couldn't care less about losing units when everything is going kosher, but when i look and find that my orders are not meshing with whats going on around it bothers me. especially because i have no idea why they're on my orders sheet for T8 but none of the others. Confusion sucks.

that, and i want to make sure that we're getting as firm a grasp on the orders as possible before you head off to S7 and leave me here alone :P especially now with my new job, I'll need to stay on top of things.
