Borderer's initiative (although I'm sure the few survivors would really rather have been elsewhere.)

CC/M orders are suspended pending Cease Fire acceptance by the FS

Just FYI,

because there is no combat here, the Borderers got picked up by CapM - TD - Charly on Op2 (it arrived Op1), and Jumped out.

(an no, I have no idea why a transport div was sent unescorted to pick up an ASF that would have been dead by the time it got there...)

Fatebringer

Hey, they fought their butts off. A 42 FP unit delayed the landing for two turns and was still alive? Go Corsairs! They deserved a chance to live.

Fatebringer

((This unit was supposed to run if it was able to)) The movement had nothing to do with the Cease Fire. Once the units were non-contested the Capellans go this world.

Spica is now CC/M.

swang

erm, no.  The Capellans didn't land by the time the cease fire happened.  If the Cappelans wish to break the cease fire, let me know, and we'll take appropriate actions.  Otherwise, get off my planet.

Daemonknight

If im remembering threads correctly, that unit basiclly went running for the hills at the end of last round, leaving the Cappies to the planet. so the Capellans would've landed uncontested, except for any militia that mobilized, prior to the Cease Fire. Either way, they're sitting on the planet one way or another, prior to the events on Terra. There is no conflict however, they're simply istting around their dropships, likly at the spaceport where they landed.

GM Clarification: The FS unit held off the Capellan Dropships in space for 2 turns. At the end of Turn 8, this world was not contested because the CC/M did not land.

IF during turn 9, the unit gets picked up and leaves (Which is what your actions indicated), that is a non-combat action, the CC would then be allowed to land uncontested claiming the planet, also without combat. This would not counter the Cease Fire, but is the results of the FS actions.

If you stay inplace until the Peace Accord is signed (End of Turn 10), they would be required to withdraw by the terms of the treaty.

Fatebringer

Rechecking the Thread, the CC/M Warship is currently on Blockade Orders (and allowed to be during the Cease Fire talks). The FS would have to initiate combat (Violating the Cease Fire) to leave.

swang

Ok, so I'm not allowed to leave?  I don't care either way, I just want to know where my units are supposed to be.  Spica is NOT contested, as there is no ground battle and has never been.  CC never landed. and the cease fire now forbids them to do so.

Even if I were allowed to leave, I don't see why CC would own Spica.  At the minimum, they would still have had to fight the militia?

Fatebringer

Technically yes. So far, we have had Units or Militia, one of the mistakes we made from previous turns of combat. Per the rules and verified by Dave, each planet has militia. Our Experience with the FGC game ingrained in us that if there is no military there, it's Militia only, and if a unit was there and left, a militia would not pop up behind them, the hex was considered abandoned with no time to raise one.

So I was wrong. Yes, the unit is trapped (Verified the Blockade is in place). No, if the ASF unit ran, it would not be "Open".
