Without warning, wave after wave of JumpShips erupted into the old capital system of the Free Rasalhague Republic. Some of the vessels' sails bore the starburst of the Terran Hegemony, while others bore the Sword of Blake, but regardless their intent was clear: Orestes was under siege.

Squadrons of aerospace fighters deployed into a protective shell as several hundred DropShips, undoubtedly carrying massive ground forces, began to detach from their motherships.
