On the opposite side of the commlink, Colonel Rasmus Ibrahimović leaned back in his chair before replying dryly, "You know, Commodore, there's an old saying on Orestes—I know it's in Grumium, probably in Orestes—that says, fool me once, shame on—shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again.

"Where's our backup, Commodore? Where's the SLDF? Your pals on Tharkad already decided to change the terms of our service once, and now they're using us as a speed bump for the Clans. We're done here, Commodore."

The Donegal-born Lyran commander flushed red, "This is treason, you inbred Rassie schweinhund! I'll see you hanged for this, you and all of your worthless meatball-eating teddy bear-"

Ibrahimović cut the link and turned to his regimental commanders, "Alright, the Lyrans have hung us out to dry. As of now, the Orestes Camlaan Shire Militia is Orestes Freemen Brigade, Rasalhague Kungsarmé. We don't owe the elsies anything, and its time for us to go home."



As the LC aerospace units move to contest the clan blockade, a transmission is received by the orbiting fleet:

"Open a comlink, i wish to speak with these Dominion forces..."

"Colonel, i am Khan Allison Sonoma of Clan Jade Falcon. My databanks list your force as a Lyran-aligned regiment. If your intentions are non-hostile, i sugest you power down your weapons, and meet with me without a show of force. If your claim of belonging to the Dominion proves true, you will be allowed to leave unmolested. If i see so much as a single combat-ready unit within the vicinity of my landing, i will order my forces to grind you to dust. You must understand my apprehension about allowing a potentially hostile foe to slip past my forces and into friendly territory. I await your response and the coordinates for landing at the capital's spaceport. I expect to see you and your officers at the landing if you choose to accept my terms. Khan Sonoma out."

After the message had been sent, she had her ComTech switch channels to the All-Hands push for her combat force.
"Warriors, prepare for potential ambush dirtside. The defending commander states he is no longer Lyran, but Dominion in allegiance. I am disinclined to trust his word, and he has been ordered to power down his weapons to prove his intentions. However, i want combat readiness from all units, just incase his attempt to flee is a cover of some sort."

With that, she gave the orders for her dropships to detatch from their transports and make ready for planetfall, either at the spaceport, or potentially for a combat drop.
