Yes, you do get the 10 for damage, but still only a 7 for the crit.

Adders damage:

[blockquote]Rolled 2d6 : 3, 4, total 7[/blockquote]

Okay, let's do the maths now...

.130-(50%x.070)=x
.070x.5=.035
.130-.035=.095
x=.095

Ending total, Coast Guard forces is .095FP

.070-(70%x.130)=y
.130x.7=.091
.070-.091=-.021
y=-.021
-.021 is less than 0

This is troops left non-combat-effective, this doesn't mean they're dead, it just means they're so hurt that they can't fight anymore.

I think we have a decisive outcome here?

Behavioural notes: Lt. Nguyen stuck to the deal-no dirty tricks.  The Adder troops, presumably, did as well.

Quote7. Salvage: Determine the total actual damage sustained and roll 2d6 to determine the percentage that is salvageable. Add a +5 bonus for raids, +10 for battles, and +15 for invasions (as well as an additional +10 incentive bonus if all operations were played out in MegaMek). Salvage is claimed by the faction that ends the turn in control of the planet, except  for raids where the raider may roll on the Raid Salvage chart to steal a percentage of the available salvage (apply a +2 modifier if the raid was successful)*.

*If the operation was a Clan trial, and Zellbrigen was upheld for the entire fight, salvage is automatically 50%.

Now, I don't know if there would BE any salvage from this, but if we go with the original force totals on both sides (.5+.5=1), and total damage for the entire battle is (.419+.5=.919), then possible salvage pool is .919

if we subtract the "Overkill" number (.021) that drops to .898 possible salvage pool.

Since the only table I can find is the Raid Salvage table, a roll of 6 is 50%.

Is there another table I can use, but haven't found yet?

50% of .898 is .446

By golly, there's still the possibilty of a viable force down there!

There's not a salvage table per se, its a flat 2d6+X% of the available salvage, where X equals...

5 for Raids
10 for Battles
15 for Invasions

The raid salvage table is to determine what percentage of the final salvage amount (after the salvage roll) that the raider manages to drag away with them, leaving the rest for the defender.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Ah...I see now.
So...

.919x.1 (round)+2D6 (Which was a six...)

.09+6= .15

Add to .095 you get .11FP total.

"Lt. Nguyen, you and your men have fought well proving your valor and doing your duty.  Unfortunately, I must follow my orders from higher command and call in additional forces (3 times your initial size was supposed to be the initial bid).   Before I do so I wish to offer you and your men heigra and a boon for your showing.  Needed medical care and transportation will be provided to allow you and your men to return home and if you wish you shall be accompanied by a binaries worth of clan standard equipment to use in defense of your home.  I have enough leeway in my orders to offer you this as well several days to make your decision."

OOC:The whole calling in the bid was supposed to be included in the original acceptance.  All salvage so far would be yours as you've won this first portion. Any std mech / vehicles that were in production in the 3063 and including standard elemental suits would be fair game.  Would have posted this up earlier but I've been away for the weekend.

"Star Colonel, I got back-mail arrived this morning, most of my men are in hospital, and just about all of the men you sent down who did not die in the swamp are in hospital with 'em, a civilian governor who is all kinds of excited over some announcement by Charlemagne Steiner, most of the original Planetary Militia's officers are either on the Deserter's list or in the brig for cowardice in the face of the enemy, which is the situation that forced me to offer the trial in the first place, instead of finding a ticket off-planet."
Leutenant Nguyen paused for a breath, then keyed the transmitter again.

"Now, I figure one-to-one I took you without dirty tricks, but I am not an idiot-fifteen to one odds I can not manage.  I was on Arluna during the plague, worked with your folks there, and I know you will not abuse these people-which is the only reason I am considering an Honorable Retreat under the rules of Hegira per your offer-if it was anyone else, we wouldn't consider it-if it was anyone else, we wouldn't have held back on the dirty tricks, Star Colonel-it would be to the knife with no quarter and no action in defense out of bounds.  IF the civilian government didn't want to take your deal, I would be bound to stay to the last drop of blood.  I want this absolutely clear before I out and out say it..."

He sipped water from his canteen, "I will meet you at Ginny Lu's on 5th street for a beer, Star Colonel, I assume you are not averse to drinking with a lower-ranked officer before you take over this mess, after which, I will be most glad to be on my way back to Arluna, which is where the unit of the Coast Guard we're part of is headquartered."
