Blood Sword Keshik (CO: Khan Adrianna Schmitt)
15 FP Elite/Fanatical

Warriors of Clan Wolf, The Blood Spirit's lay claim to all you hold in the Home Worlds.  Your Khan has accepted our challenge and we stand ready to shed our blood in the defense of the true way of the Clans.

Know that in this battle you shall see your path is false. For those of you who still know what it means to be Clan we salute you may you one day bring the Chalca's back to the true path!

NVA

Khan Schmitt, your challenge has been received and reviewed.  The bidding has been completed and you will face a trinary of the finest from the 4th Garrison Cluster.  Nicholas Kerensky chose the greatest clan and none has removed us from that place.  Today, that will not change.  Our path is to follow the traditions and ways of the clans, unlike others who assume themselves to be clan, such as the Star Adders.  We shall defeat you, proving our way.  When we do, you willl ensure our safe departure and transit to continue our way.  This will include our facilities that we choose to take with us.  If you still wish to claim the territory, you will then be welcome to it, due to the honor you show to follow the founders ways when others flounder.

2.8 FP of Veteran/Reliable Troops will meet you.  A single trinary.

(What are we doing here, Chaos?  Want to get this one fought so we can move forward, if possible.)

NVA

"Khan Schmitt, word has reached us that clans have arrived at some of the worlds you attempt to claim here.  Our warriors are defending our claim there against those clans.  You can deal with  them as you wish.  Our bid will be forthcoming for those worlds in which there is no other challenger and for the status here."

Requesting GM review.  Someone has mentioned that it has been ruled that new forces can not be called into a trial, based on our rules.  I want to follow the rules.  PM sent.

OOC - After Round 1

"Khan Schmitt, your force has fought well, but is defeated.  To continue would just waste more resources and warriors.  In accordance to the terms of our challenge, I hegira to you and your warriors."

OOC: Just so it's said, I direct all participants to Field Manual: Crusader Clans, page 13.

To quote the relevant section: "The winner of a bid enters the field with the agreed-upon forces, but may call on reserves equal to the strength of the opponent's last bid with only a small loss of honor.  To bring in more forces requires the permission of the other bidder, and usually entails a severe loss of face."

And to make sure it's clear, when it refers to the "opponent", it's referring to the other Blood Spirit(s) bidding for the right to fight the Trial, not to the Wolves.  So we don't need the Wolves' permission to bring in more forces, and it's perfectly legal under Clan law.

Also, the Ravens can't really disagree with it, either, since they pulled the same trick at Tamar by bringing the Horses into their fight.  So it's legal from the FGC rules perspective as well.

(Meant to post this here originally, but it came up in the Circe thread, so I'm posting it in both places to be thorough.)

"Such a delight that you think you are in a position to offer hegira, Wolf.  Unfortunately for you, we have called in reserves of what we have bid away, and where you see waste, my warriors are fully prepared to lay down their lives to drive you from the sacred soil of Strana Mechty.  Perhaps you should withdraw from the battlefield, lest you end up with no warriors left to withdraw."

OOC: Chaos tells me that this was ruled in our favor, so we're going to move into Round 2, unless anyone has any objections.  Chaos rolled at 8, dealing 65% of our FP (1.183, to be precise) to the Wolves.
