"Galaxy Commander Jones," spoke a voice over the radio, "you are correct - our purpose here is fulfilled and this this trial clearly need not continue. The surviving defenders of Roche accept your offer."

With the surrender being accepted, the Blood Spirits' DropShips immediately moved in to secure key defensive positions on Roche, with the largest contingent moving on the Temple of the Nine Muses and establishing an operational headquarters on-planet.  Blood Spirit aerospace forces formed a CAP over the Temple and the Scorpions' former capital city, and the Scorpion warriors whom had accepted the surrender were ordered to stand down lest they face further punishment from orbit.

The Spirit Clusters made planetfall and quickly moved to secure what remained of Roche's population.  Due to the fact that Roche consisted almost completely of barren wastes scourged by frequent and violent sandstorms, the vast majority of the planetary population was ensconced in several cities dotting the world, making the Spirits' movements to secure the world much simpler to carry out.

Once that had been completed, Star Admiral and Galaxy Commander Geoff Johns assembled the various Star Colonels in command of the Scorpion Clusters, and announced the deal that his Khan had authorized him to make: the warriors under their command could retain their positions and be adopted into the Spirits' warrior caste wholesale... pending a thorough investigation, and the caveat that they would be tested against several Spirit warriors for the right to maintain their commands.

Then Loremaster Campbell and several of his best Watch agents arrived on Roche, and the atmosphere on the world had begun to teeter precariously between a tense and nervous detente to something akin to an inquisition, as the Watch was absolutely ruthless in the pursuit of their agenda.

Roche would continue to be a Pyrrhic victory for Clan Blood Spirit and a sore spot for some time to come.
