Nineteen SLDF and FWLN flagged warships drifted in space, awaiting the outcome of the opposition.

"You mean a body can not even properly insult an Adder by implying he has never won a bloodname anymore and or not deserving of i?. Quite unfortunate, though Im certain even your not damn fool enough to not realize my intent was to imply your genes are worthless."

"Such is indeed possible, if the one attempting to levy insults possessed honor or any hint of noble bearing and breeding."

Quote" Anyway down to business. The Trial of Refusal on behalf of the FWLM the Final bid comes from Rubinskys Renegades Aerospace Brigade and is 19 FP, to remind the Star Colonel where honor lies and release the full amount of irsorla to the FWL i.e. our Mjolnir Battlecruiser henceforth by us considered to be "The Proclamations of Hector". Note for the record and before all that our previous bid is very Liberal and we shall not hesitate in calling it down in the event that Star Colonel Steiner's bid prove his bid to be poor."

"At this particular juncture in space and time, I deny this Trial, the Mjolnir is rendered off limits as isorla under any and all circumstances. Any attempt to take it via other means I will consider a breach of zellbrigen and an act of piracy with all the consequences that entails. I will discuss this no more"

Quote"On the matter of Coventry itself as our previous Counter-bid has been rejected as anything but a separate bid, we now propose this as a counter-bid towards your control of Coventry and all its civilian resources. When you are beaten again you will not make any more challenges against the system of Coventry for a period of no less then 6 months (3 Turns).

"This I find acceptable, with the provision that the Free Worlds League and any it employs are so likewise forbidden from making a further claim upon Coventry for an identical measure of time."

QuoteOur bid stands at 20FP of Ground Forces drawn from every command on or around this rock as you requested, from the seconded forces of the Federated Suns acting as Star League Defense Force Military Detachments, to the professionals of the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery, some of the cream of the crop of the FWLM's 13th Corps and some detachment of all others. Again Star Colonel I advise you to bid wisely I shall have no qualms about calling in my previous bid should yours show you to be without a warriors heart."

"With your bid now known, it is now in the hands and minds of the Commanders who follow to determine who shall have the duty of removing your hands from this system."

[ooc: ie, Dis, or any other that is willing to proxy for MM, can determine the Adder forces allotted in this Trial. A mix of Clan and IS-Lyran designs would probably be best, any questions as to what's available Mech/Vehicle-wise, just fire me a PM]

Quote"On the matter of the mech Trial of Posession, I accept your counter-bid and 2FP worth of elements of the 9th Regulan Hussars shall for my part contest it. Once again Star Colonel I warn you against a bid that has no honor as I shall have no problems calling in my previous bid which is again extremely liberal."

"Accepted."

[ooc: pretty much as above. I cant MM, and not sure on Dis's free time, nor IM's availability, so proxies are welcomed for MM]

Quote"And I insist you cease your attempts to duck out of what you have coming to you there is the matter of the Trial of Greivances, you were all hot and bothered about fighting me not to long ago now your doing your best to hope everyone forgets. No can do boy, I am going to show you what thirty years in the Duke of Atreus Navy can do for a man's fighting skills. Pick your poison you'll be just as dead or bloody by the end of it one way or another so stop stalling and pick your poison. You miserable little toerag."

"Our Duel will take place once all other Trials have reached their prophesied conclusion, which is when I shall make known the locale and means."

QuoteOOC:

1) A Trial of Refusal over the Decision NOT to turn over the Mjolnir. Trials of Refusal are not subject counter-bids to my knowledge. FWL wins Mjolnir becomes the FWL's property.

Not happening at this time

2) A trial of Possession for Coventry FWL wins, Coventry can not be attacked by SP or Clan Star Adder for 3 turns.

acceptable, so long as the FWL agrees to the same; neither it, nor any Mercs it employs, will attack Coventry for 3 turns

3) Trial of grievances time is now per Jade Falcon decision on when the trials take place. Choice of weapons is Charlie Adders.

My understanding is that the time, place and means is up to Charlie; and he's stated the time

4) Steiner Protectorate Adders have denied SafCon but requested it for themselves. This is allowed but deemed cowardly?/ok?/standard? in the eyes of the Clans?

Possibly, though Charlie is a bit of a nut, his view is that everyone that is here was fated to be here...so here is where they must remain

5) Trial of possession for Mechs, Blood Asps, against Snake's and Wraith irsorla the Adders want.

accepted...what can I say, I like those two designs, and I have other reasons as well *bwuahahahahaha*

6) Regal is awaiting Charile Adder to declare what weapons the trial would be fought under (im fine with a one on one fight in mechs. Though pistol equipped unaugmented pilots in MegaMek could be interesting.

He'll let you know once all the other Trials are over

7) FWL/SLDF grant SafCon to Mech and Vehicle Haulers only. Any attempt by the Adders or Steiner Protectorate to move warships Assault Dropships or Fighters (due to the threat of them being a delivery method for nuclear weapons. Will be seen as a violation of SafCon."

That should be acceptable

Trial of Refusal Forces:
FWLM: 19 FP Aerospace

not accepting the ToR at this time....in the future maybe, but not now

Trial of Possession Coventry Forces:
IS Everyone: 20 FP Ground

Just need to have Dis or a Proxy to figure this out as Id prefer it to be MMed out

Trial of Grievance Forces:
Admiral Regal in unknown augmentation

Time: after all other Trials have ended; the rest to be determined

Trial of Posession Mechs Forces:
9th Regulan hussars: 2 FP Ground

MM would be preferred (if Dis or a Proxy can be found), though this one I would be ok with SimRessing it myself

[ooc: hopefully that covers everything...if not let me know and I'll make a subsequent post]

Star Admiral... I do believe your rulings as Oath Master have been violated by the Star Adders.

You mandated all trials take place simultaneously that is to say at the exact same time. Such was agreed by both parties and now the good Star Colonel refuses to face me.

Man is damn near half my age, a genetically engineered super soldier, has his choice of weapon and he will not fight me sirrah. Is there any clearer sign that the man and I use that term loosely is a coward.

That he is little better then a pirate and a thief is beyond dispute given his actions. He lost the trial bid and now expost facto nullifies the agreed objectives of the trial. Tis cowardice, tis avarice, tis dishonesty. Now correctly me I am mistaken but at the core of the trial and bidding system is that the victor sets all conditions.

Well All the Adders have done IS lose. And all they have done is beg for concessions they have not the strength to win by force of arms.

At least that is the laymens translations I was first given for basic instruction in the ways of the Clans.

I say to you Star Admiral for you have played things straight here this day. Despite our disagreements on SafCon. Have I not acted scrupulously with honor?

And truthfully is what Clan Star Adder and their hissing little neonate Charlemange presented here this day honor?

He will not fight a man in his late 40's for fear of death at my hands.

He will not fight a trial of refusal for some trumped up "grey area" excuse for not delivering our proper Irsorla.

He adds even more onto our just counter-bid even though it is not his right to do so.

When I have continuously asked for something of lesser value then the prize I have put up. When it is my right to demand that he place something of value up against us offering up Coventry.

You have been...fair Star Admiral. A true Jade Falcon under the situation.

But while I will defer to you on matters of Clan law.

I say to you sir as one of the unenlightened.

This man Charlemange Steiner his word is as worthless as his claim to leadership of the Lyran people.

Charlemange Steiner is no warrior, he is no leader, he is no man.

What he is a quisling, a coward, a joke to all those who conduct themselves with honor.

The sooner the stain of his line is removed from the roll's of mankind the better for everyone.

OOC:

I will make the time to play any proxy if I am not at work during the time that they need me to play. I do not want this to drag on to next turn.

Also could the Star Adders please post their actual FP bids. You have agreed to the trials but have posted no FP Bids.

Frankly I do not want to be forced into simple resolution at the end of the turn if we can avoid it.

Let me make clear I hold no ill will for any of the Star Adder players. But frankly expect all FWL transmissions from now on to question every adder commander's heritage, family planning, honor, intelligence and whatever interesting insults I can come up with.

Frankly. While we are not quite done wiht the Trial system. We are done with treating the Adders with respect. :-)

"Unfortunetly Lord Admiral, I am inclined to agree with the Star Colonel that perhaps the Trial of Grievance should be held after the battle. It would not be wise to deprive the warriors of their leadership.

As to the Mjolnir, Star Colonel, I do not recall a Trial of Refusal being subject to dismissal, such as a Trial of Possession. I would sugest you change your mind, but seeing as how I cannot force you to accept it, I will simply state that my Khan, and yours, shall hear of this if you decide to debase the Founder's will be denying the Lord Admiral his right to challenge your decision."

((OOC: Sorry, i'd love to stay with my Clan homies, but Folkner is a 'by the book' type, and I am not aware of there being any way to back out of a ToR aside from admitting your wrong, in this case, handing it over.))
