"Waiting untill the General attempts to close the session is the correct time? If that is how the Lyrans conduct themselves, waiting untill the last minute to shoot down an idea, and then not even offer up an alternate solution, then I think you have no right to question the procedures of the Council."

"Yes, yes it is. The measure has to be voted on. Besides, what is your measure to be voted on? I only heard you that had to enter into a deal with the Ravens and asking if SHAFT needed transports. Personally I could care not what you think Ambassador Zhao. You apparently cannot even present a proposal with anything resembling coherence, so your opinion counts little for me."

Ambassador Laura Liao-Centrella sighed heavily at the exchange between the Lyran and Draconis representatives. The Wolf Loremaster had attempted to be patronizing, however it seemed that her comment was lost: after all, this was not the Grand Council. Trials are not conducted here, as there. She keyed her microphone.

"In any case, the General has closed the session for now. Perhaps next months session will see the funding dispersion revisited, but I can think of few other uses for the funding to be allocated to. I would sugest we adjourn as the General has said, and discuss this matter at the next meeting." With that, the ambassador for the Capellans and Magistry stood and made her way to the door. The General had closed the session, and she had no intention of staying to listen to the bickering that would likly get nowhere anyways. Besides, one of her aides would stay to make sure that she was informed on the resulting argument.

Ambassador Zhao merely laughed as he gathered up his datapad, and sent his aide to get his car ready to return him to the embassy.

"So, you don't care what I think, and yet you ask me what my proposal was? I take it you are refering to the very same proposal that you are railing against: the distribution of SHAFT funding to reconstruction and detoxification projects. She requested guidance from this council; she recieved it in the form of my statement of the Coordinator's wish; and with no objections, she has decided to act. If you objected, perhaps you should have done it sooner, before the session was ended, or called for a vote on the matter. I presume you have a plan that you feel is more useful than reconstruction? If so, I will gladly listen at the next session. For now, we have been adjourned."

Ambassador Zhao likewise leaves the council chamber without awaiting an answer.
"My only regret is that I will not be alive in .03 seconds. I would have liked to watch the enemy attempt to vent an omnidirectional thermonuclear blast enveloping their outpost."

"I will be filing official grievances through the appropriate channels as no such 'measure' was seconded, let alone called to a vote."
