Hi folks.

All Turn 37 combat threads should now be resolved. Here is a general timetable for what is next:

Tomorrow, I will be opening up the Faction IC threads on this end and also opening the key 'council' threads so RP can carry over. Expect a big reveal from ComStar about events in the Taurian Concordat to kick things off in the THAC, among other places.

Following that, you are going to start seeing threads being locked. Those threads are being archived; once I get a solid answer from CGL about reprinting material currently on CBT.com, I'll start uploading it to the FC62 wiki.

Later this week I will be posting a rough roster of who we know for sure is still with us for turn 38. If there are any major holes, we can talk about how to fill them.

Next week, I will start prepping for turn 38. At this time, I am planning for Turn 38 to launch on schedule for April.

Most to come.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

New faction IC threads have been opened and the process of archiving the old threads has begun.

For game purposes, the Faction IC threads on CBT.com "end" at the post indicating the thread has been archived. Anything posted in those threads after the archive announcement should not be considered "canon" for the purpose of the FC62 campaign.

Please feel free to begin immediately using the new roleplaying threads that have been opened.

Update: All faction IC threads on CBT.com and the CBT forum archive have been backed up. Once BTechunits is back online I the threads there will also be archived.

Next step will be to work backwards through all the turns to archive them so nothing is lost.

All FC 3062 rules except for the combat rules have been reposted to incorporate all published eratta. Combat rules will follow soon once they have been updated with the eratta.

Note: Erattas #s31 and 33 will be abolished effective turn 39

Update: All combat rules have been copied over and updated with eratta.

Note: The revised Blockade rules are abolished effective turn 39 and are rolled back to their original version. For turn 38, use the blockade rules as published in the Eratta thread in CBT.com.

HEy Dave. Question: have you copied the Grand Council threads too?

Would be a shame if they got lost from cbt.com. I am copying them now, but its a hard work.

Also, Dunno how better to do, but they will need cleaning up too. If you already have them, I would refrain from it.

Yes, including the old one that was like 22+ pages long. They will all be uploaded once I have the last couple of threads done.

Hmpf. I already am in the process of making them readable. The transcripts on the wiki are as of yet unreadable to me. Shall I go on or stop it?

Did that "big reveal" happen yet? I just wanted to make sure I read it carefully.  ;D

Dave Baughman

The THAC kind of stalled last turn, so it never got that far. As of the start of turn 39, the following is true:

  • TC intelligence is convinced the FS is behind these attacks (successful intel missions fed you false information)
  • The attacks were of extraordinary brutality and thoroughly violated the Ares conventions
  • ComStar and WOB will not/not transmit footage of the attacks over their network non-TH clients, so currently the only accounts in circulation outside the TC are written (except for what ROM has, presumedly)
  • ComStar released a brief public statement condemning the attacks as inexcuseable acts of terrorism and promising devastating retaliation in the near futue. The Word of Blake released a statement of solidarity with ComStar and warned that any action against Word HPGs would be met with a disproportionate response.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Are you using Firefox or another "alternative" browser? If so you may need a plugin to view the encapsulated archive files.

Having said that, if you want to put Grand Council content on the Wiki itself (i.e. beyond just attachments) feel free!

Marlin, I saw your overview of Clan Ice Hellion on the Wiki - that's exactly the typeof thing I'm looking forward to seeing more of :)

I am about 2/3 through uploading the raw threads; once they are all done I'll post a link to the directory they are in so people can use them as a resource.

Update: all of the Classicbattletech.com threads have been uploaded to the following location:

FC 3062 Archive

If you create a page on the wiki either talking about or reposting text from the archived threads, please remember to link the appropriate archive MHT at the bottom of the page so people can see the material as it was originally presented.

Umm, could someone post the link to the Wiki?
