What is this place for?

Hi everyone, welcome to the new rules discussion area.

This area, as the name suggests, is for talking about the rules. There are three main things we are going to do here:

1) Store the official rulebook here and update it when the rules change.
2) Host a Q&A thread (and other player-initiated threads) where players can post to ask rules questions relating to the current rules or discuss aspect of the rules that are of interest to them.
3) Talk about future rules changes, both player-suggested and GM-initiated.

Historically, the rules have been a source of contention and even anger on the part of contributors. Understandably, since people are very invested in their own factions, the potential for a rules change to adversely impact them can cause a natural defensive reaction. That's OK, and its natural, but it is not OK to take it out on the other members of the community - including the GMs.

Because of this, in the near future board rules will be posted. When they are posted, please read them carefully and uphold them. The GM team wants to keep previewing upcoming rules changes to keep everyone "in the loop," but we also feel it is important that a civil atmosphere be maintained.
