Planet Luthien
7 November 3091

The coordinator was saved from assassination by the timely intervention of the Otomo's battle armor battalion, but Luthien itself remains under attack by the Manei Domini and their Black Dragon pawns. The Blakists' next major push came on November 7th, when a Level III unit launched a push towards the Imperial Palace. With all other forces engaged elsewhere, it was up to the Izanagi Warriors to stem the tide.

Scenario

Attacker

The attackers are a level III unit of Manei Domini shock troops. The unit is a combined arms force evenly split between 'Mechs, tanks, and battle armor. All warriors are veterans and have the following implants:

  • VDNI
  • Pain Shunt (MechWarriors) or Dermal Armor (all others)

In simple resolution, the attackers have an FP value of 10.00. In MegaMek the unit can be scaled down for playability, but the ratio of units should be maintained.

Defender

The defender is the elite Izanagi Warriors. The Izanagi Warriors field one 'Mech for every 'Mech or tank in the attacker's force and should have a battle value of 125% of the enemy force (before adjusting for Manei Domini implants and C3).

In simple resolution, the defenders have an FP value of 11.00.

Special Conditions

Leading from the front: In MegaMek, after assembling the Draconis force add a Heroic (1/2) BNZ-X Banzai piloted by Gunji-no-Kanrei Kiyomori Minamoto.

Scoring

Neither side is willing to retreat or accept anything less than total victory. Whichever side is left standing wins. In simple resolution, roll up to six rounds of combat if neccessary.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Apollyon, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Fatebringer

Holt was crippled by a repeating problem we've had playing on Steve's Server, one or more units aren't moving per turn, leaving some units out in the cold. The Inazagami are not one to look a gift horse in the mouth. Knowing their continued servitude is the only thing that allows them their religeous freedoms to warship islam, they took great pride in holding the pass and ripping the WoB to shreds. Even the little Whitworth endured the slings and sufferings of a Seraph beating on him for 3 turns. (And we're talking about the lvl 1 Whitworth!)

I know you guys love those Helicopters, but those are harassers from when you have extra BV to use, you might want to add a Beefier Tank, you know one with a Battering ram up front, next time... just a suggestion though. I took all the Inazagami selections from the CSO page, so the heaviness of the selections wasn't really me picking assaults to suck up damage, as a matter of fact, we pulled out the Longbow to add the Whitworth and both the Whit and the Hatamato were Level 1 mechs.

I'm sure if the approach of the Seraph had let him plaster the Sunderer instead of the Hatamato while closing, then this would be a different battle as the Sundies extra Firepower over the Sleeping Hatamato made a HUGE difference.

Holt

Like Fate said the game was skipping some of my units movement:

Round 1 my Cyrano did not move, not really a problem.
Round 2 my BA did not move, which was a little problem because now that BA would take longer to enter the building and attack.
Round 3 my main mech the Seraph did not move and this was a huge problem, instead of the mech jumping and opening the field, he just stood there. That turn he fell and the following turns he took damage and eventually died.
Round 4 the Cyrano did not move again, leading him to his death; since it just kinda sat there.
